The Waters Edge at Gros Morne

A few days before we officially kick things into high gear and the campground is already coming to life! It is such a small world getting to swap travel stories right here by the bay. So excited to host them and officially get this season underway.

First camper van on site at the https://watersedgegrosmorne.com/ last night, April 27th! That’s the earliest we’ve ever had someone here, even with the snow.

Even better, they came all the way from Germany just to visit Gros Morne. Really makes you stop and think… if people are traveling that far to see this place, we’ve all got something pretty special going on right here.

UPDATE: So we did a little family camper van circumnavigation around Nova Scotia a couple weeks ago and seen many European rigs but not this one. After chatting with them it seems they were just hours ahead of us on the loop around, small world!!

But we were talking to many others and they are all coming here to Newfoundland so keep your eyes peeled for some unique rigs.

Getting the campground ready for the season is a lot easier with the Tablelands shining in the background. We are thrilled to already have a few early visitors here to enjoy these crisp mornings by the water. This is exactly the kind of landscape we love sharing with you all!

Looks like the weather’s finally starting to turn. Got a light layer of ice in the cove overnight, but it’s a beautiful day out on the bay today.

And just look at those Tablelands, shining bright with a fresh layer of snow. Beauty is our backyard here in Bonne Bay South.

When we say the mountains are our backyard, we mean it! 🏔️✨ We love seeing the Wild Gros Morne crews head out to explore the rugged hillsright behind the property.

These tours are the ultimate way to see the "hidden" side of the park without ever having to move your truck. If you're looking for an adventure that starts the second you step outside, this is it!
