A cappuccino is all about balance: rich espresso, silky steameclassicd milk, and a thick layer of velvety microfoam.

Start with a double shot of espresso, then steam your milk until it’s smooth, glossy, and packed with fine bubbles. Aim for roughly 2–3 cm of microfoam. Traditionally served in a 5–6 oz cup, the drink is built in three equal parts—espresso, steamed milk, and foam.

Pour the milk gently into the centre of the espresso, letting the foam settle beautifully on top. The result? A rich, creamy cappuccino with just the right balance of bold coffee and silky milk.

I'm no barista, hence my cappuccino being a bit... sloppy.
But I can guarantee the flavour more than makes up for the presentation.
Good coffee doesn't have to be pretty.

Café Cubano is strong and especially sweet.

Dark roast coffee or espresso are brewed with a Moka pot, but the addition of sugar at the start of the brewing process is key to making a Café Cubano.

After the first drops of coffee begin boiling up through the Moka pot or steaming from the espresso machine, they are vigorously beaten into a couple of tablespoons of sugar until a creamy foam known as espuma results.

The high temperature of the espresso activates the sugar, producing a unique taste that differs significantly from when the sugar is stirred in after the coffee has been brewed.

The cigar is optional.
