Forest Glen Adventures located in the Acadian Skies & Mi’kmaq Lands region, North America’s first certified Starlight Tourist Destination

I walked back the road as far as The Stargazer , saw 2 deer and 1 partridge on the way.
The Meadowbrook looked very cozy. Tempted on a hammock nap☺️
Wishing it was clear skies ! Both Bunkies are ready for the season, maybe some off grid camping, to unplug and recharge. You can find the Bunkies on Airbnb

or reach out for details.

I do have some telescopes if you would like to try one. If you have Binoculars bring them.

The Leonids Are Back! ☄️✨

On the night of November 17, the Leonid meteor shower will reach its peak, sending up to 15 meteors per hour streaking through the darkness. With a barely-there waning crescent Moon, 2025 offers exceptionally dark skies—perfect conditions for anyone who loves watching the heavens come alive.

The best time to watch is after midnight until dawn, when the constellation Leo rises high in the east and the meteor rates begin to climb. You don’t need any equipment—just your eyes, a dark spot away from city lights, and about 20 minutes for them to adjust.

The Leonids are visible worldwide, but they put on their strongest performance in the Northern Hemisphere, especially from regions between 15°N and 30°N. That means excellent viewing across India, North America, Europe, and anywhere with a clear eastern horizon. Observers in the far Southern Hemisphere will still catch some activity just before dawn, though at lower rates.

So grab a warm layer, find a quiet place under the night sky, and look up.
If the skies stay clear, the Leonids will reward you with fast, bright meteors cutting through the November night—one of the simplest cosmic joys we get each year.

Happy skygazing! 🌌✨

Hopefully some clear skies ! Keep on looking up🌠

***AURORA ALERT #2***
We are currently experiencing a G3 level geomagnetic storm as a CME passed close to Earth this morning. At least 3 more CMEs are expected between now and Saturday. At least 2 should be Earth directed. These effects are increased due to the large coronal hole now facing Earth.
Conditions tonight call for mainly clear skies locally. We will have a bright Moon to deal with, but at G3, we should still have some opportunities for viewing.
Updates here as they arrive.

🍁 Autumn brings some recognizable constellations back to the night sky. While your feed might show pumpkin spice everything, the real magic is overhead.

🦄 Pegasus rises high with distant galaxies like NGC 7331 and Stephan’s Quintet.
👑 Andromeda shines with our nearest spiral neighbour, M31, and its tiny companions M32 and M110.
✨ Cassiopeia’s “W” hides rich clusters, don’t miss M52.
💧 Aquarius offers planetary nebulae like the Helix (NGC 7293) and Saturn Nebula (NGC 7009).
🐟 And though faint, Pisces holds the beautiful face-on spiral M74, a challenge worth the hunt.

What’s your favorite autumn constellation to photograph or observe?

Well I guess the Stargazing app was wrong..Get out and enjoy this beautiful evening. The comet should be visible tonight, its closest pass of Earth, and a the Meteor shower.
