Visitors to Loisaba are offered a myriad of activities to experience the wildlife and landscape on many different levels. Loisaba boasts a fleet of brand new custom-designed Land Rover safari vehicles for game driving both day and night. Other activities include horse-riding, camel-trekking, guided bush walks, fishing, mountain biking, cultural visits to Samburu villages and visits to the anti-poaching sniffer dogs.

Every protected landscape has a team working passionately to keep it wild and thriving.

Loisaba Conservancy's K9 Unit plays a vital role in anti-poaching, wildlife protection, and tracking operations. Together with their dedicated handlers, these highly trained dogs help safeguard the remarkable wildlife in this ecosystem.

In addition to tracking poachers, the K9 unit also assists in locating injured or lost animals, ensuring they receive the care they need. This is particularly important for vulnerable species like rhinos and elephants, which are often targeted by poachers.

On paper, Northern Kenya often looks like a blank space on the map. From the air, the underlying geology becomes obvious.

A single flight tracks the shift from the high-altitude forests down into the dry volcanic calderas of the Great Rift Valley. It provides a clear cross-section of how tectonic activity has shaped the terrain over millennia. Landing by a natural spring offers a quiet window to observe the local ecosystem before the midday temperatures peak.

Honestly, the fact that you can cross millennia of tectonic history and cover that much geographical ground before breakfast is a little hard to wrap your head around. It is a completely wild way to see the country.

Loisaba Tented Camp is a beautifully grounded place.

Perched high on the escarpment, every room opens seamlessly onto an endless horizon, where the vast skies of Loisaba become part of the experience. There is a wonderful feeling of space here:light pouring through canvas walls, fresh air drifting in, and the landscape stretching as far as the eye can see.

It is a place to lay back with a cup of coffee, watch the clouds move across the plains, listen to birdsong carried on the breeze, and let the rhythms of the wilderness gently settle your mind.
