ot disappoint. THE REGION:
Nendaz is awesome. Its the second largest resort town in the 4 Valleys and had loads to do all year round. During winter it has snow for over 20 weeks a year, and over summer enjoys a warm Mediterranean alpine climate – in fact Valais is known as Switzerland’s sunniest region. WINTER:
- Alpine skiing - from Nendaz resort at 1400m to the Mont-Fort glacier at 3300m the 4 Valleys offers an exceptional ski area with high mountain scenery.
- Skiing and boarding - use of a snowtubing trail, a beginners park and a snowpark at Tracouet.
- Cross country skiing - There are 9km of trails especially for cross-country ski-ing within in the Pracondu-Pra da Dzeu area.
- Winter walking - 92km of walking trails are clearly marked. So stay off the ski runs!
- Moonlight skiing - full moon parties at Tracouet. SUMMER:
- Cycling - Adventurous alpine roads, hill climbs and long winding high speed descents.
- Mountain biking - 200km of trails and bike rentals for every level of expertise. Hiking - 250km of walks, including 98km along the unique network of 8 "bisses" or historical irrigation channels, all of which provide magnificent views over the valleys, villages and mountains.
- Golf, tennis, swimming - these are all within reach of Nendaz.
