Klosters wird dieses Jahr 800 Jahre alt. Das Motto vom Klosters Music «Zeitreise. A Musical Journey» ist vom künstlerischen Leiter David Whelton ganz bewusst gewählt, um die 800-Jahr-Feier von Klosters musikalisch zu reflektieren.
So hat der Dirigent und Blockflötist Maurice Steger für den 4. August ein besonderes Programm zusammengestellt. In der Kirche St. Jakob, deren Kirchturm so alt ist wie der Ort, präsentiert er gemeinsam mit Nuria Rial und dem La Cetra Barockorchester ein Programm, das zurückgeht ins Mittelalter, aber auch virtuose Werke aus dem Barock enthält.

Klosters Music zeigt am 5. August den Hollywoodklassiker «Singin› in the Rain» mit Live-Musik (City Light Concerts). Hauptdarsteller Gene Kelly war in den 50er- und 60er-Jahren häufig zu Gast in der Chesa Grischuna in Klosters.
