A warm welcome to Agnė Kišonaitė,
We are delighted to welcome Agnė Kišonaitė as our new Artist-in-Residence at Villa Sonnenberg!
The internationally acclaimed Lithuanian artist and designer transforms everyday objects and discarded materials into poetic installations, sculptures, paintings and design objects. Her work sits at the intersection of art and industrial design, exploring themes such as consumption, artificial beauty and sustainability.
During her residency in Lenzburg, Agnė is developing „Winged Motion” – a kinetic artwork exploring birds, migration and transformation. Inspired by found materials and the traditional Lithuanian craft of straw art, the work brings together ideas of movement, change and cultural connection.
Agnė has realised numerous projects across Europe, Asia and the United States, and has received multiple awards, including a Guinness World Record. Since 2018, she has also been a member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Association.
We are especially excited to open up Agnė’s artistic process to the local community. Workshops will offer opportunities for everyone to get involved and contribute to the creation of the work.
