The SD70ACe-T4 has been in limbo for a long time due to a lack of engine sounds. So we have decided to reach out to the community for ideas and suggestions on how we should release this locomotive, or a source for sounds in order to move this locomotive towards release.

On March 22nd, 1958, Key System "Bridge Unit" #156 is seen waiting for passengers at the foot of the Claremont Hotel, ready to depart for San Francisco.

Built to serve the hotel (and other East Bay real estate projects), the Key System was the work of business magnate Francis Marion "Borax" Smith, who is better known for founding 20 Mule Team Borax.

2/2023 - Fans of the Southern RY will be glad to see wreck repairs are nearing completion. 8099’s engine is getting an overhaul and the unit will be painted soon. This shows the side that sustained more damage.

We expect it to remain a heritage unit.
