A final ride for a Verbier icon 🕊️

On 30 August, the historic Verbier–Savoleyres gondola made its final journey after more than 55 years of service. First opened in 1970, these iconic cabins have carried generations of skiers, hikers and mountain lovers between Verbier and Savoleyres.

To mark the occasion, the mountain came together for a fitting Valaisan farewell — complete with raclette, music, stories and shared memories at the top of Savoleyres, before the symbolic final descent.
