The princess and the pea or sleeping on multiple layers
Once upon a time there was a 300 year old house in the “nucleo” of Cavigliano. When we got it, it wore lots of make up and was very dressed up. So we started stripping back floors, uncover ceilings, scratching of layers of paint and thus revealing stories of the past. We were reusing dug up sand as pigments, transformed old wine casks into parkett floors and included a terrazzo floor that looks like a Salame.
Now we are ready to welcome the first guests in our bed and breakfast. The basics are there, we have beautiful beds and curtains, lamps are mounted and new upholstery on old chairs is done. But that’s just the beginning, the interiors of those rooms will evolve in a constant process. Some threads will tell you about the history of the house, others will be a continuation of topics Natalie Luder Design was busy with, and finally new tracks will be explored.
