The perfect place for those who prefer things simple and uncomplicated. In the daytime, the Matterhorn looks benevolently down at those lunching on the restaurant terrace. Swiss cheese restaurant saycheese! A delicious fondue in saycheese! is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. The quality of the cheese is exceptional. The hotel also has five rooms for banquets and conferences for up to 300 people; these rooms are all fully air-conditioned, have daylight and black-out blinds and are equipped with cutting-edge communications equipment. Wireless Lan is available throughout the hotel.

Wonderful news from us:
In the new Andrin Willi Hotel Rating Switzerland 2026/27, presented yesterday at The Dolder Grand in Zurich, the Grand Hotel Zermatterhof rises from rank 26 last year to rank 15 among the best 5-star leisure hotels in Switzerland.

The editorial team notes that the hotel has, under General Manager Markus Marti, “clearly gained momentum” – and describes the beginning of every stay as follows: “The transfer from the train station remains unforgettable thanks to the double-harnessed blue Lipizzaner carriage.”

Particular recognition is also given to the cuisine at Prato Borni under Stefan Lünse, who continues to confidently defend both the Michelin star and GaultMillau points, as well as to the new wellness area Vita Borni.
