Thank you to all our faithful Sleepyfish customers over the last 9 years! It has been an amazing time. Sleepyfish is now officially closed... but the Gecko Cafe is still going in Hong Long Jing (the west side of Dali) and we have a two bedroom apartment for rent just above the cafe. Come and see us!

Sunday, August 9th is 火把节 (huobajie), the Bai torch festival! If you're in Dali don't miss out on the fun! Last year they banned torches from inside old town, but just down the road from Sleepyfish, the Regent Hotel usually has a large one, and if you're more adventurous all the surrounding villages will light their's just before dusk.
