If wandering in the city is a first encounter, then Creative Talks is a dive deep into Shanghai’s very fabric.

Recently, The PuLi Shanghai hosted a new session of Creative Talks — Jing’an: Exploring the Depth of Time — in the Jing’an Suite with Jerry Zhu, Founder of SimpliCity.Shanghai, cultural historian.

Over 30 precious artifacts turned the suite into a temporary urban archive. Outside stands modern Jing’an; inside lies timeless history.

As guests gathered in conversation, Jerry Zhu shared his unique perspective on Jing’an, from the historic Yongquan Bang to the contemporary international community. Stories and traces woven into the city’s texture unfolded gently through dialogue. Every moment here is a quiet conversation with the city.
