Join us in Cocorna, Colombia (45-minute drive from the Medellin Airport) for 7 day - 6 night retreat.

In this retreat we will cleanse and harmonize our mind, body, spirit and emotions through the ancestral medicine of Ayahuasca(Yagé) and Wachuma. And in addition, we will have two sweat lodge ceremonies, so we can receive the medicines in a cleansed sense of being.

There will be Yoga classes during the day and Mambeadero at night.

In the Mambeadero, we are accompanied by Coca Medicine, which helps our words to be sweet and feminine. And we are being accompanied by To***co Ambira, which carries the masculine energy and gives us clarity and concreteness.

About Yagé....

Yagé, ayahuasca, or vine of the soul, is an Amazonian sacrament. It is the mirror of the soul, a sacred medicine that helps us recognize ourselves as part of the whole, to integrate with life itself, with nature, and to recognize the divinity within. There will be two Yagé ceremonies at our retreat.

We will also work with the Wachuma cactus, also known as the San Pedro cactus. Wachuma is a heart-opening, heart consciousness medicine. The Wachuma experience offers a new perspective and a way to relate with life from an open heart.

In this retreat, the Yagé(ayahuasca) and Wachuma medicine will be served by Sergio Andrés Mira Atehortúa. Segio first encounter with Yagé was approximately 18 years ago, with the Inga people who are native to the Upper Putumayo. In the time he spent with the Inga tribe, he gained a deep understanding of the science behind the preparation and serving the medicine of Yagé.

All the food at the retreat is locally grown, and the meals will be vegetarian, complementing the spiritual work we are doing.

The exchange for the retreat is $1500. It includes the following:

Accommodation
daily meals
transportation to and from the retreat center
two Ayahuasca( Yagé) ceremonies
day time nature walk Wachuma Ceremony
Two ancestral mambeadero Ceremonies
Two Inipi sweat lodge ceremony
Yoga classes

Payments can be made in installments. For any additional questions, feel free to reach out to me via Instagram, or my e-mail at [email protected]. I can also be reached by phone at 862-283-5522.

On the 6th day of the retreat, we held our sweat lodge ceremony. Before entering the sweat lodge, we offered the participants, the heart medicine of Wachuma.
The sweat lodge is a place for prayer and healing. The dark, warm space of the lodge and its shape can be viewed as a replica of a womb it’s an opportunity to experience ‘rebirth.’. It’s also considered a space to reconnect with our relatives, ancestors, and others in our lineage, including different forms of existence.

Between the entrance and fire pit, an alter (Wagle Wosnapi) is set up. A honoring the directions Ceremony is performed first, followed by smudging participants with either sage, sweet-grass or cedar. This process helps purify one's spirit body.

On our fourth day of our retreat, we did a daytime Wachuma walk in the mountains of Cocorna. The Wachuma ceremony consists of four altars for each of the directions. We did the first altar of air, in the Maloka located in Mukari house. We then left Mukari House and began our hike up the mountain behind our land. Above, Mukari House, is the water source of the mountain.

Maloka’s is an ancestral communal centers built the by indigenous people of Colombia, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru.
For the indigenous people of the Colombia, the maloka is a model of the cosmos, it looks and feels like a temple since knowledge is expressed there, allowing a deeper connection with nature. They feel the responsibility of caring for Planet Earth and are aware that certain customs of human beings can deteriorate Mother Earth, therefore, through the malokas they honor nature and connect with the universe, balancing any external damage that occurs external to the community.

On our September retreat, we held mambeaderos and Wachuma ceremonies at this location.

In the afternoon, on our second day of our retreat, Joann and Oswal Pomaquiza performed a Despacho for the land of Mukari House. A Despacho, is a ceremonial offering and ritual originated from the Andean cultures of South America, including the Incas and the Quechua people. Similar to a mandala or sacred creation, the Despacho holds symbolic elements and the prayers of the participants. As the elements are added to the Despacho, the vibration of the participants and the land raises. The Despacho becomes a living prayer that brings energy shifts and healing.

Greetings Beloveds! For those who are new to this page, I like to make a quick reintroduction.

Mukari House is a retreat center located in Cocorna, Colombia. The location of Mukari House is about a little more than an hour drive from the Medellin airport.

From September 11th till September 17th of this year, we held our first retreat with Joann and Oswal Pomaquiza working with the sacred cactus called San Pedro or Wachuma.

In the upcoming days, I plan to show everyone the day-by-day experiences we had at our retreat.

I will start with the second day of the retreat. After breakfast, our cooks, Jimmy and Zia, taught a class on making your own smudging feather. I know I have previously shown a picture or two, but in addition, I like to share a quick video or two of the workshop. Please scroll down below.
