Our Story
Two British bikers quit their corporate jobs and set out on a motorcycle adventure. After travelling across South America, and adopting a street dog along the way, they fell in love with a town in the Colombian mountains. In 2016 they bought a farm and opened a hostel to give other like minded adventurers a home away from home. They named the farm “Steel Horse” after their love for motorcycles and horses. As word of the farm hostel grew, so did the wonderful and eclectic mix of travellers, adventures and explorers.
In 2018 two travellers came to the farm with a dream to travel into some of the remotest part of the Andes Mountains on horseback. Steel Horse helped the two travellers prepare for this epic adventure. Their ride into Los Nevados was extraordinary, and the horses that carried them on the adventure were exceptional. Together they became firm friends and part of the Steel Horse family.
Steel Horse continues to share their passion for adventure and specialises in Horseback Riding tours through Colombias most magical landscapes. The horses all live on site at the farm and are loved and very well cared for. Whether you are looking for a home away from home to relax, or you are looking to embark on an horseback adventure, look no further.
