The Pizote or Coati is one of the most charming animals in tropical forests. Males sometimes roam the forest alone in search of food or females to mate with, and it is also common to see large groups of coatis, which are usually made up of females and juveniles of both sexes. They are diurnal and omnivorous, eating everything from fruit to even other live animals.
