Rodeado de 73 hectareas de bosque lluvioso, el hotel posee 10 habitaciones distribuidas en 3 categorias: 4 habitaciones estandar con vista al bosque, 2 habitaciones superiores con vista al lago de Nicaragua y 4 bungalows con vista al bosque lluvioso. Ademas el hotel posee senderos que atraviesan bosque primario en el cual hay 2 puentes colgantes perfectos para apreciar el bosque desde las copas de los arboles. The pristine forest at Heliconias is one of the best places to see the smallest motmot in Costa Rica: the Tody Motmot.

These diminutive birds love the dark forest hillsides for their nests. At certain times of year, the forest is full of their calls.
