This was sent to us by one of our guests this week. Our local squirrels do change colors with the seasons, but this variation made us have a good chuckle.

That means you you might see anteaters, lizards, insects, and tropical flowers in the same morning. When you're here, you’re right in the middle of it all.

And he still won’t clean the kitchen. But he will show off those jaws like he owns the place.

Guanacaste is home to several species of stag beetles, known for their oversized jaws and shiny armor. They might look tough, but they’re totally harmless and mostly hang out in forested areas, munching on rotting wood.
