A familiar face to anyone local - it's Mr. Shelby from in the kitchen! 🥳 Many retreat hosts ask us to help them find a chef or catering, which we will of course gladly help you with!

In doing so, we love supporting local businesses of which Cafe Mono Congo is a big one in the Dominical community. Besides mutual love and support for each other - we also appreciate them because of their fantastic track record of working directly with the retreat hosts to put together a meal plan that suits their wishes. They really do cater to all!

Favorite season in Costa Rica? The answer will surprise you!Your instinct probably goes for summer, which here in Costa Rica is considered to be December, Jan, Feb, March, as it coincides with dry season. Little chance of rain, sunny sunny days and great surf conditions.

And yes, summer is amazinggg! Especially if your coming from North America or anywhere in Europe - escaping the cold is a treat!

Most people who live here though, love April to August! Why? It's Green Season - this means occasional late afternoon rains that bring life back to the nature around us. We start to see nature literally flourish from day to day. Rain also brings slightly cooler temperatures, enabling you to be outside more, enjoy hikes and beach time without intense heat.

Don't worry, there is still enough sun for the sun lovers!

Last bonus? It's not peak tourism time, meaning favourite locations are less busy and visitors will benefit from low season prices!

We have some exciting news...A little back story - Sabitha and Royal Sabitha are two separate spaces that can be rented out individually, or together. When we started Kia Ora we thought... hmmm 🤔 maybe some retreats will want to rent it together, but the majority probably wont. Well, we were WRONG!

Over the past two years we frequently had the situation that retreat hosts would book Royal Sabitha... and a month later get back to us asking if they can add Sabitha - as the demand for their Costa Rica retreat just kept growing! This honestly, always makes us so happy for them.

So, long story short, our exciting news: We've extended the yoga deck at Royal Sabitha!! 🥳
