A Heartfelt Update from Pacific Edge EcoLodge
Pacific Edge has been part of our family’s story since 2008. As Sid and my first vacation spot when we first started dating, then as our dream home and finally as the eco lodge so many of you have come to know and love. For the last five years, we’ve poured our hearts into sharing this magical ridge with guests from around the world. Together, we’ve navigated not just the daily joys and challenges of running a lodge but also the turbulence of a global pandemic and the many shifts that have rippled through the world since. I mean who was crazy enough to buy a hotel during a pandemic, right? That would be us! 😅👋🏽
From the very beginning, we had hoped Pacific Edge would be our forever home. A place to grow old, to pass down and to always return to. That’s why this has been one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever had to make. But as life has a way of reminding us, seasons change. Our family’s needs are shifting and while Pacific Edge has given us more than we could ever put into words, we know it’s time to step into a new chapter. Life is short and there is a whole world to explore.
Through it all, the jungle has been our constant teacher. I always say that the jungle tests us daily. Showing us resilience, balance, and beauty in every sunrise, every monkey call, every wave breaking below.
What began as our family’s dream grew into something so much larger: a place where strangers arrived and left as friends, and where many returned year after year until they truly became part of our family. We are forever grateful to each and every one of you, the laughter, the conversations, and the meals shared around the grand table are among the most treasured memories of our lives.
Perhaps the greatest lesson we’ve learned through all of this is that no matter where in the world you come from, no matter how unstable or divided governments may seem, we are not them. At our core, we are all human. Wanting the same simple, universal things: love, health & happiness for those we hold dear. That truth has been the gift you all have given us and it will stay with us always.
To all of you past guests, repeat visitors, and everyone who carried a piece of Pacific Edge home in your heart, we are endlessly grateful.
We are also deeply thankful to George and Susie, who first passed this torch to us. They believed in us and we have done our best to honor that trust. Now, we find ourselves at the same point, ready to pass the torch again to someone who will write the next chapter of Pacific Edge.
We will, of course, honor all existing reservations already on our calendar. Long term rentals are also available from now until next year. So please reach out if this calls to you.
Beyond that, if you feel drawn to continue this legacy whether as a partner, a buyer, or through another creative path, we invite you to reach out to us privately. She is for sale to the right buyer. The next dreamer and guardian of her gifts here in the jungle.
From our family to yours—thank you for being part of this journey with us. May the jungle always whisper its magic to you, as it has to us.
“The Edge is Never Dull.”
With deep gratitude,
The Pacific Edge Family
