The trip!Late in November of 2017 we determined ourselves to head south from the snowy mountains of southern Colorado

So the week of thanksgiving we headed out in a BIG truck pulling a BIG camping trailer . Just us and our 3 guardians, the Princess (fierce feline),the 2 dogs (Romy and Remie). On Thanksgiving day we crossed the southern border in Nogales.... smooth sailing and headed for the coast! 25 years living in the mountains leaves one longing for the sea! first stop San Carlos, Mexico! wonderful place! gentle easing into the more relaxed way of life.. After a few days rest, we picked ourselves up and headed south again, following the coast line. OVERLANDERS we were and Mexico was ready for us! but not the “others” we had 8 tire flats! blow outs! and rut eating tires. blown off the side of the Atitlan mountain by the craziest of bus drivers! lucky to live through that one!Joaquin was our savior in panajachel, guatemala... he was our “tuk tuk” driver and coffee finder! we did love him! he helped us find our way back on the road! Then on to Honduras , sleeping in the huge parking lots of the gasoline stations because the one lane roads did not have the capacity to carry us on. two more flat tires in El Salvador. we were super ready to be home in Grecia! so we flew through Salvador & Nicaragua as fast as we could. we were moving so fast through P***s Blancas that we missed our turn (again- for the 2,879th time!) but finally found our way to the El Delfin campground and the Tortugas (Michele & Dave)guides, guards, comic relief and drinking buddies, and we were HOME! One Love. Pura vida.yee haw yall!

Comfortably ensconced on our very own tennis court, we have built a 3 magnificently appointed BnB. renovating a storage unit of Fred the tennis guy, and his garage... frantically landscaping the grounds and making our nest. Now... its time to RELAX! we have been welcomed to Costa Rica by our wonderful neighbors Omar & Marta... teaching us about the foods(beans & rice), the customs(a hug & a kiss), and the awesomeness of Mother Nature! We are still working on that last part.... it is enormous here in this beautiful country. Thank you Heaven for guiding us here! back to Home!

Now! its time for you to visit and meet the Yaya baristas and taste a sip of the best coffee in the world!
