"I cannot rave more about Monteverde Lodge - it is truly outstanding! Having experienced several of the good hotels in the area, I can confidently say that this one is the winner. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and with spectacular views. We watched monkeys swing from trees meters from our balcony and relaxed in front of the sunset.
The food was GOOD, everything from the wonderful breakfast to the cocktails was wonderful. My favourite part was probably the heated pool at the end of a long day of hiking. You can see the sunset while soaking in delicious water - this was a surprise as few hotels in Monteverde have pools, let alone heated ones. The location is top because you can walk to the town, avoiding the very difficult parking in town. And finally, the warmth and professionalism of all of the staff we interacted with stood out - any issue we had was quickly handled with a smile."

The hotel is lovely and the service is excellent. We stayed one night and the hotel is simply beautiful. The sunset is spectacular from the restaurant, and the breakfasts are delicious with a wide variety of options (à la carte), which was included in the price of our stay. The rooms are very clean, and ours had a terrace with access to and views of the beautiful garden, which features a small lake, walking paths, and a swimming pool.
