Planting with Pluto 🪐🌳 (ESPAÑOL ABAJO) During their two week residency PLUTO supported our team with the planting of 160 native trees in a single day, creating a new layer above the original tree line to protect the spring water reservoir.

In partnership with Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad, our mission is to plant 2500 trees this season. And in response to the super El Niño year, we are planting only the most resilient species - Mamon, Caobas, Cenizaros and Caña Fistula.

Every tree that goes in the ground here is part of a longer commitment to the land and the water that moves through it. Restored forest cover means cooler soil, deeper roots and springs that keep running through the dry months. This work is measured in decades, not seasons and each planting day adds to a watershed that will outlast all of us.

To the Plutonians, thank you for the sweat, the care and the hours you gave to this hillside. We can’t wait to have you back to sit in the shade of these trees!

(ESPAÑOL ABAJO) A glimpse of the abundance so far. We’re working toward a big goal: producing 70% of our own food on-site.

We’re not there yet and that’s exactly the point.

Regenerating this landscape takes time, patience, and crops that need years to mature before they fruit. But while we wait for our agroforestry systems to grow into their full potential, the land is already giving generously.

🥬 100% of our greens, grown right here - the best we’ve ever tasted.

None of this happens on its own. It’s the result of an incredibly dedicated farm team designing, tending, and regenerating a complex living food system every single day.

We’re also experimenting with what comes after the harvest; exploring ferments, flours, and other processes that turn what we grow into products we can share beyond the farm.

And this is just the beginning. We’re in the beginning stages of dreaming up and testing ways we can share the harvest with the community. We’ll be sharing more soon.

(ENGLISH BELOW) Hoy, Costa Rica celebra los 202 años de la Anexión del Partido de Nicoya, una de las fechas más importantes de nuestra historia.

El 25 de julio de 1824, el Partido de Nicoya decidió unirse a Costa Rica, una decisión que hasta hoy recordamos con la frase “De la patria por nuestra voluntad”.

Para Guanacaste, este día es mucho más que una fecha histórica. Es una celebración de su cultura, sus tradiciones, su música, su gastronomía y de las personas que han mantenido vivo ese legado generación tras generación.

También es una oportunidad para valorar los paisajes que hacen única a esta región. Bosques tropicales secos, sabanas, montañas, ríos y costas que han dado forma no solo a su biodiversidad, sino también a la forma de vivir de quienes llaman a Guanacaste su hogar.
La identidad guanacasteca está profundamente ligada a la tierra, a las estaciones y a las tradiciones que siguen presentes en la vida diaria.

Hoy celebramos la historia, la riqueza cultural y el profundo vínculo entre las personas y este territorio que hace de Guanacaste uno de los lugares más hermosos del mundo.

(ESPAÑOL ABAJO) 🌿 Costa Rica offers something the world rarely gets to see: a successful story of ecological restoration.

Just a few decades ago, much of the country’s forests had disappeared. By the 1980s, forest cover had fallen to around 25% as land was cleared for agriculture, logging, and cattle ranching.

Today, more than half of Costa Rica is once again covered by forest.

It didn’t happen by accident.

It happened because people made the decision to protect forests, restore ecosystems, and rethink the way they interact with the land.

Here in Guanacaste, that story continues.

Home to one of the world’s rarest tropical dry forests, this region reminds us that regeneration is about far more than planting trees. It’s about rebuilding relationships between soil, water, plants, wildlife, and people.

At Tierramor, that belief shapes how we care for the land. Through agroforestry, regenerative agriculture, and long-term stewardship, we’re contributing, alongside many others, to a larger movement that’s helping restore the health of our landscapes.

Because biodiversity isn’t something we inherit, it’s something we choose to protect, restore, and cultivate for future generations. 🌾

We’re looking for a content creator to live and create with us in the foothills of Nosara, Guanacaste.

At Tierramor, content is about capturing what often goes unseen: life on the land, the rhythm of the ranch, and the work of regeneration as it happens.

For one month, you’ll be on-site documenting daily life, activities, and the landscapes of Guanacaste. Food and accommodation are included.

This is for a digital storyteller who:
– sees narrative in everyday moments
– is self-directed and curious
– is aligned with sustainability and stewardship

We’re hiring a Guest Experience Coordinator to join our Operations team as the first point of contact- and the steady thread throughout- a guest’s stay. This team member will work hand-in-hand with the Business Manager, Experiences and Operations Manager acting as the connective tissue between all functions to ensure the guest experience is held to the highest standards of care. They’ll help guests land, find their rhythm, and navigate the space with ease.

This is an on-site position based in Nosara, Costa Rica.

Salsa & Gallos with Tierramor and Salsa Nosara - this Friday June 19th 💃🏻🌮 ESPAÑOL ABAJO

Join us for an evening of movement, flavor, and community in the heart of the ranch.

Doors open at 3:00 pm: jump in the pool, grab a fresh juice from the bar, and watch the sunset.

At 4:30, we serve gallos - a beloved Costa Rican classic known in other countries as tacos, with delicious toppings direct from our farm.

Then as 6:00 rolls around, the dancing begins! A salsa class for all levels followed by open dancing till 10:00.

In-house prepared drinks and homemade sweet treats available to buy throughout the night.

Children: $20 - full event + 2 gallos
Adults (National) $40 - full event + 3 gallos
Adults (Non-National) $50 - full event + 3 gallos
