Ginger was the princess of Rancho Margot. ❤️‍🩹

For 14 years, she filled the farm with joy, greeting guests as they arrived, leading the farm tours, and chasing more rocks than we could ever count.

If you visited the farm, you probably met her. She had a way of making everyone feel at home, soaking up every bit of love, and reminding us to slow down, explore, and enjoy life’s simple moments.

Last night, she took her final rest, and our hearts are heavy. The farm isn’t the same without her, but we know she’s still with us—in the paths she walked, the memories she left, and the stars above.

Run free, sweet Ginger. You will always be loved. 💛✨

In Rancho Margot, not only do we celebrate the diversity of our rainforest biome, but we also celebrate the diversity of people and personalities. Our one and only Francisco is passionate about giving his warmest and most vivacious welcome to our guests, making everyone feel like the inside of a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie. And who doesn't love a warm and gooey freshly baked cookie? Most often you would find Francisco enthusiastically helping guests plan their time and curate their experience during their stay at the resort, making everyone feel at home away from home. Francisco is most gleeful that he can be his most authentic self working as a receptionist in Rancho Margot because it has not been the case in his past job experiences. His dream is to be an English teacher one day. But for now, he continues to do what he does best, welcoming amazing souls from around the world who visit our regenerative wonderland right in the heart of Costa Rica’s thriving mountain rainforest.

Since our first day, Rancho Margot has been working toward a better tomorrow. We've always embraced and adapted to challenges and changes environmentally and culturally. In recent months, we have been experimenting with Web3 technology to help us better organize and strengthen our community for the regenerative future. Our founder and the leadership team attended an event invitation yesterday -- Protopian Convergence. It is a four-day interactive event to envision a desirable future and catalyze iterative change toward a regenerative society. The topics include redefining culture, regenerative ecosystems, redesigning organizational models, and rethinking civilization. Our founder was on one of the panel sessions and was able to share our vision, challenges, and successes with the group. While some topics and discussions were enthusiastic and constructive toward a new type of organization model, some are utterly on the opposite and radical spectrum. The event was no doubt a thought-provoking event to share and connect. It also provides us with deeper insight into the landscape in this regenerative sphere. We are curious about your thoughts on the regenerative future. And how much do you understand what regeneration is? And how would you like to be part of it? We would love to know if Rancho Margot can provide you with some answers.

To help recognize and celebrate the importance recycling plays in preserving our precious resources, at Rancho Margot, we go from waste to wash. We expertly recycle used cooking oil into fine artisanal soaps and laundry detergent used on the ranch. It is just one among many other regenerative practices we carry out here.

Global Recycling Day is a day to unite and put our planet first. But frankly, we can always put it first. Cleaner planet, brighter tomorrow.
