The Biriba (Rollina) fruit tree is really producing well, it can be found on the river-side edge of the tree orchard. It should be picked as is turning from green to yellow. The skin is covered in soft small diamond shape spiky sections.

It is fiberless with a smooth creamy gelatinous texture, with a vanilla custard flavor. The seeds are big and easy to remove. This fruit is great to eat by itself, on pancakes, or with granola. Help yourself to this or any of the other fruit trees

I have been posting for the last week on that official fb for the Costa Rica casa and surrounding areas (beaches, waterfalls, flowers, birds, insects, the casa, our backyard cascading falls and swim hole.

A couple photos from our landscape maintenance crew of the food forest: Banana, Plantain, coconut, Guamanian, Rambutan, Mamey Sapote, mango, Avocado, Mangosteen, Jack Fruit, Cacao, Nispero, Mandarin Orange, Maricle Fruit, Black Pepper, Chico Sapote, Arasa and my favorite Biriba.

It’s only been about three months, and October is the rainiest month, so expecting some good growth before the new year. Our guest will love picking their meals!

Even though this is no longer our main fb page for CDR I wanted to post it...
A year ago Carla and I spent a week at Rythmia for our 35th anniversary, followed by a week at our casa (Corazon Del Rio) down on the southern end of Costa Rica. The second week was so nice to have after the intense work at Rythmia. We hope to do the same at least once a year with anyone interested.

The stay at CDR will be on us, well maybe for a hug 😎. We will even take care of transportation to CDR after Rythmia!
