The location is stunning, with beautiful hiking trails right on the property. The apartment was spacious, spotless, and fully equipped. The swimming pool is wonderful, and breakfast was a delight every single day.

Costa Rica has an incredible variety of ecosystems!

If you are driving from our Paradise Lodge to SJO airport, one very scenic and interesting option is to take Route 2 and make a few stops at “Cerro de la Muerte”.

At more than 3,000 meters above sea level, the landscape and vegetation change completely — hard to believe that just a few hours earlier you were surrounded by tropical rainforest or relaxing at the beach 😊

On clear days, there are viewpoints where you can actually see both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean side of the country at the same time. And with a little luck, you might even spot a quetzal — one of the most beautiful birds in Central America!

This incredible diversity is one of the things that makes Costa Rica so special to us.
