A great lunch yesterday at Lola’s at Playa Avellana. It’s a 50 minute drive south from El Destino. You get to see the rural countryside along the way. Amazing food. Amazing beach.

The Potrero community features a delightful array of restaurants, businesses and people. One of my favorites is Justin who owns and operates The Sailing Center located about 100 meters or so up the beach from El Destino. The Penthouse has a membership at the center so guests can rent paddle boards, sail boats, take sailing lessons, sea kayaks, etc. Justin has recently started a video podcast on Youtube called 'This Costa Rican Life' in which Justin combines interesting guests with a six pack of local beer. In the latest episode he interviewed professional sailor, Colin, who anchored just off our beach for a few days. Colin is sailing and surfing the world and has also appeared on the TV show 'Below Decks'. It's a great watch. Check it out and subscribe to get a flavor of Pura Vida!
