On July 25, 1824, Guanacaste chose Costa Rica. Two hundred years plus later, the music, the dance, and the flavors of that choice are very much alive.
This weekend we celebrated together, guests and team side by side, with traditional marimba, típico cuisine, and the kind of joy that only a Costa Rican holiday can bring.
This is pura vida. 🇨🇷🌿

El 25 de julio de 1824, Guanacaste eligió a Costa Rica. Doscientos dos años después, la música, el baile y los sabores de esa decisión siguen vivos.
Este fin de semana celebramos juntos, huéspedes y equipo lado a lado, con marimba tradicional, gastronomía típica y la alegría que solo una festividad costarricense puede traer.
Esto es pura vida. 🇨🇷🌿

Con profunda tristeza recibimos la noticia de la partida de don Gilberto Gómez Barquero.

Deseamos hacerles llegar nuestras más sinceras y sentidas condolencias en este difícil momento.
Sabemos que la huella de don Gilberto permanecerá imborrable en cada sendero, en cada caballo y, sobre todo, en los corazones de quienes tuvieron el honor de conocerlo. Su legado y su profundo amor por la naturaleza seguirán siempre vivos en nuestra comunidad.

Hoy, nuestra Terraza L’Orange fue el escenario de algo más que una vista al Pacífico.
45 colaboradores del Parador participaron en nuestra jornada de donación de sangre, recolectando 18 litros que beneficiarán a 140 pacientes en 29 hospitales estatales del país, a través del Banco Nacional de Sangre de la CCSS.
Estamos orgullosos de nuestro equipo, y agradecidos con el equipo médico que hizo posible esta jornada.
Una sola donación puede salvar hasta cuatro vidas. Si puedes, acércate a tu hospital más cercano y dona. 🩸♥️

Today, our L’Orange Terrace was the setting for something more than a view of the Pacific.
45 Parador team members took part in our blood drive, collecting 18 litres that will benefit 140 patients across 29 public hospitals throughout Costa Rica, through the CCSS National Blood Bank.
We are proud of our team, and grateful to the medical staff who made this possible.

🐋 Whale watching season is here.

Every year, humpback whales make their way through the waters off Manuel Antonio, and every year, it stops us in our tracks. At up to 40 tons, they breach, sing, and travel up to 16,000 miles between feeding and breeding grounds. There is simply nothing like witnessing it from the Pacific.

For Ronald Mora Rojas, Parador is his second home.
And after 17 years on the maintenance team, it is easy to see why. Ronald is a professional painter by trade, but at Parador he does a little of everything… with efficiency, teamwork, and a smile.
One of his favorite moments is the dawn at New Year’s Eve, working, sharing, and welcoming the new year alongside his colleagues in this place he loves so much. Additionally, he proudly participates in the hotel's recycling efforts, because caring for Parador goes well beyond four walls.
When not working Ronald enjoys time with his family, fishing, and football, the simple things that, as he well knows, are always the best ones.
Don Ronald: thank you for 17 years of dedication and great energy. 🌿♥️

Para Ronald Mora Rojas, el Parador es su segunda casa.
Y con 17 años formando parte del equipo de mantenimiento, es fácil entender por qué. Ronald es pintor de profesión, pero en el Parador hace de todo un poco: con eficiencia, trabajo en equipo, y una sonrisa.
Uno de sus momentos favoritos del año es el amanecer del 1 de enero: trabajando, compartiendo, recibiendo el año nuevo junto a sus compañeros en este lugar que tanto quiere. También participa con orgullo en las labores de reciclaje del hotel, porque cuidar el Parador va mucho más allá de las paredes.
En su tiempo libre, Ronald disfruta de su familia, la pesca y el fútbol: las cosas sencillas que, como él sabe bien, son siempre las mejores.
Don Ronald, gracias por 17 años de dedicación y buena energía. 🌿♥️
