We no longer own Mother Dear, and, therefore, this FB page is in the process of being removed. Deep-felt thanks and love to all the wonderful guests who contributed so much positive energy to Mother Dear over the years. It was a joy creating this place and hosting hundred and hundreds of citizens of the world. (The business is still operating, but under a new name, Villas Serenidad.) What a thrilling sight from the porch yesterday morning! A whole lot of dolphins passing by, showing just part of their backs- no leaping out of the water. This was a first for me in the 7 years I have lived here. Come stay with us sometime! Magical things happen.

I am so happy for our employee Ruth who makes our cottages shine! Today she is on her way home to Colombia for the first time in the 8 years she has lived in Puerto Viejo. Wishing her a wonderful visit with her mother, daughter and grandchildren!

Tonight there will be a show in Puerto Viejo called "Songs of the Sirens," an all-women production of song and dance! I look forward to participating as a singer and being part of an exciting community event. I'm hoping our Mother Dear guests will join us and add this to their "memorable experiences we had on our vacation" lists!
