fell in love with the country. Taking his love for nature, rivers/water, and surf, he combined these aspects of living to create Rancho Diandrew. Rancho Diandrew is not your typical resort/hotel. It would be described as a Boutique Ecolodge. The property has several different types of accommodations that are are centralized around a beautiful jungle Event Center where weddings, live music shows, and yoga retreats are staged. The place can be booked for groups of up to 16 people, families, couples and even single travelers. The waterfall tours provided here are the most famous attraction, however, the view from every living quarter is what keeps people coming back!

Hello friends, we’ve missed you! We’d like to give you an update on our services right now. Are we not currently operating our cabinas or gorge tour until December 2021. We ARE however running the Jungle Day trek ALL year!

Check out the description on our website and message us if you’d like to book. Intermediate trek with lunch included. Multiple waterfalls and local guides!

Our Story

Costa Rica's best surf and nature and adventure tours! Rated 5* stars on Tripadvisor, Rancho Diandrew is owned and operated by Andrew Mattison, a California native with surfing and adventure in his blood since his single digits. He grew up traveling to Costa Rica with his family since he was nine years old and fell in love with the country. Taking his love for nature, rivers/water, and surf, he combined these aspects of living to create Rancho Diandrew. Rancho Diandrew is not your typical resort/hotel. It would be described as a Boutique Ecolodge. The property has several different types of accommodations that are are centralized around a beautiful jungle Event Center where weddings, live music shows, and yoga retreats are staged. For rent is the main house, Casa Rica, along with two cabins, Bird’s Nest and El Jardin.

Our day tours are what we are most famous for. They include a Moderate Day Trek (all ages,) an Advanced Day Trek (intermediate,) and the Jungle Day Trek (advanced.) All tours have lunch included! Contact us so we can fit you to the perfect tour for YOU.

NEW in 2016: Andrew has teamed up with his brother Dion, owner of Conatus Surf Club, to host specialized surf retreats at their property in Costa Rica! These retreats are aimed to boost your surfing skills in a relatively short amount of time by logging multiple hours in the water per day with expert coaching in and out of the water, including video analysis of your sessions. Retreats also include: seminars on wave judgment, swell forecasting, body positioning, trim technique, paddling form, body surfing and body boarding at low tide (to learn how to ride the barrel), waterfall tours, and cave swimming adventures.
