About us

We love the fresh smell of the jungle and the lush greenery. This natural environment has inspired us to create an accommodation option for our travelers away from our hostel in the city of San Jose and on the Caribbean coast in the tropical surroundings of Limon. We have decided to start a new adventure.

Now our mission is to expand and grow our camping grounds which are focused on providing eco friendly accommodation and a choice of tours and activities. Sibotravel travel agency specialized in rural and conservation activities and provides us with great local tours for our visitors, such as river rafting and bird observation and treks through the Braulio Carrillo National Park. Our tours are focused on enjoying nature and our surroundings while still taking into account the well being of local communities. Sibotravel supports responsible tourism and creates opportunities for children in local communities to benefit from their tours and help to conserve local areas. Accommodation

We offer 3 different accommodation options to provide our guests with several interesting choices.

The main area consists of:

Two Private Rooms with shared garden. Each room is decorate with a specific theme based on the locals rivers.
One single room or a room with two beds (twin).

Camping Area:

We have a Green Area dedicated it to the easygoing travelers who want to get back to nature and camp. You can bring your own tent or rent a tent from us. We also offer you a nice comfortable mattress, pillow, blanket and a mosquito net for your comfort.

On site facilities:

Services and activities

We support you all the way throughout your adventure. There are communal areas for everyone’s use, conservation activities, local tours with options for all budgets.
Reliable and trustworthy tours and staff. Transportation by our friends in the local community. We will organize daily activities for everyone. Sports, arts, languages, music and juggler’s workshops are available. At weekends enjoy our events from reggae roots to trova music beneath the stars.

Surroundings
Located right between two provinces so you will be able to explore and enjoy both sides.
From San Jose it’s only just over an hour to reach the site, and the same to reach the town of Limon and other tourist areas like Puerto Viejo, Caquita, Manzanillo, Punta Uva, Sixaola or even the board to Bocas del Toro in Panama.

Our Bribri were the autochthonous people of the Talamanca region, living in the mountains and Caribbean coastal areas of Costa Rica and northern Panama.
We will take you to this amazing and magic Reserve to learn and experience about their cultivating customs like raising cacao, banano, and platano to sell as well as beans, rice, corn, and a variety of produce for their own consumption.

Our Bribris are still isolated and have their own language that is why our tour will allow you to have a real Jungle adventure. To maintain their indigenous culture and not to cause too much impact in the area we promote this tour with small groups and keep it in no comercial bases.
Although the group has the lowest income per capita in the country, they are able to raise much of their own produce, medicine, and housing materials, and earn cash to purchase what they can't grow themselves through our tours they also get an income to continue preserving the Migration Birds Observation Project.
