🌿✨ Exploring the Rainforest at Cecropia Ecolodge, La tigra ✨🌿

Welcome to the incredible biodiversity of the rainforest! 🐸🦎🐜 In this vibrant ecosystem full of life, we find a variety of amphibians, reptiles and insects that play vital roles in its delicate balances.

💚🐸Amphibians: Rainforests are home to colorful frogs, such as the poison dart frog, famous for its bright colors and potent toxins, which they use to protect themselves from predators.

🦎 🐍🐢Reptiles: From tree snakes that slither silently between branches, to Helmet Basilik and many more show incredible adaptation and mastery in the art of stealth and hunting.

🐜 🐝🦋Insects: With more species than any other animal group, insects are the engineers of the forest. Butterflies and bees pollinate flowers, while ants create complex underground networks vital to soil health.

Each of these wonderfully unique beings contributes to the enormous biodiversity that makes rainforests such a special place. 🌿💚

A largue nocturnal gecko. Has vertically elliptical pupils. Coloration very cryptic. Adults usually have a swollen tail base.
