I would like to share a recent heart warming experience we just had here at Cascata Del Bosco. We had the honor of hosting film maker Roy Hahn with his cast and crew of Traveling Star Productions. They are here filming a documentary movie on one of Costa Ricas greatest national treasures. None other than our very own next door neighbor, Doctor Pablo Ortiz. Pablo is well known for having dedicated his entire life to helping his fellow man and especially, he has made it his personal mission to help the Indigenous people of Central America in matters of sustainable health practices and education. Most notably the Ngabe people right here in the Upper Southern Zone of Costa Rica.
Roy has teamed up with Samuel Bistrian, founder of Roma Boots. The most colorful line of tropical footwear found anywhere on the planet I might add. By the way Roma spelled backwards is Amor, the Spanish word for Love, which is apparently how Samuel came up with the name for his company. Samuel on his own has already been helping indigenous and impoverished people all over the world by among other things, helping build schools, orphanages and donating clothing and footwear. In this case he was donating boots. More than that he went a huge step further and with the help of his two lovely assistants, reality TV stars Ashton Theiss and Danielle Murphree, they personally delivered, sat down, sized and fit every little foot in an entire village with the cutest most colorful rubber boots you've ever seen. I doubt there has ever been so many big smiles in any one place at any one time as. I was fortunate enough to have been invited on the shoot and listen in on their interview with Pablo. I'll do another post when they finish the film, but until then please enjoy a few photos of the crew in action warming hearts and keeping feet dry.

Me gustaría compartir una reciente experiencia de calentamiento de corazón que acabamos de tener aquí en Cascata Del Bosco. Tuvimos el honor de acoger el cineasta Roy Hahn con su elenco y el equipo de Traveling Star Productions. Aquí están filmando una película documental sobre uno de los mejores tesoros nacionales de Costa Rica. Nada más que nuestro propio vecino, el doctor Pablo Ortiz. Pablo es bien conocido por haber dedicado toda su vida a ayudar a sus semejantes y, sobre todo, ha hecho de su misión personal ayudar a los pueblos indígenas de Centroamérica en materia de prácticas de salud sostenibles y educación. Lo más notable es la gente Ngabe aquí en la Zona Sur Superior de Costa Rica.
Roy se ha asociado con Samuel Bistrian, fundador de Roma Boots. La línea más colorida de calzado tropical que se encuentra en cualquier parte del planeta podría añadir. Por la forma en que Roma deletreó al revés es Amor, la palabra española para el amor, que es al parecer como Samuel subió con el nombre para su compañía. Samuel por su cuenta ya ha estado ayudando a personas indígenas y empobrecidas en todo el mundo, entre otras cosas, ayudando a construir escuelas, orfanatos y donando ropa y calzado. En este caso estaba donando botas. Más que eso, dio un paso más allá y con la ayuda de sus dos asistentes encantadoras, Ashton Theiss y Danielle Murphree, las estrellas de la realidad, entregaron personalmente, sentaron, clasificaron y encajaron cada pie pequeño en un pueblo entero con el más colorido Botas de goma que alguna vez has visto. Dudo que haya habido tantas grandes sonrisas en un solo lugar en cualquier momento como. Tuve la suerte de haber sido invitado en el rodaje y escuchar en su entrevista con Pablo. Voy a hacer otro post cuando terminen la película, pero hasta entonces, por favor disfruten de unas fotos de la tripulación en acción calentando los corazones y manteniendo los pies secos.
