Founded in 1999 by Mrs. Libia Alvarez, a former chartered accountant and certified auditor, the business has developed a well-known reputation for its hospitality, excellent services and outstanding facilities. Libia's B & D is located in one of the more exclusive neighborhoods in Havana City, named Kholy. The area was urbanized in the late 20's as a result of the increasing wealth of the Cuban su

gar moguls. Kholy was built on a hill, having the Almendares River and Havana Forest on its South - East border. Havana Forest, by the banks of El Almendares River, is characterized by exuberant vegetation, huge trees full of lianas curtains and a ground covered by grass. It is considered the green lung of Havana. On the North - West Edge of the hood, lies Miramar District. Covering an area no bigger than 10 km2 this suburban area lays on the verge of three of Havana's most popular hoods: Vedado, Miramar and Marianao. Thus we are located just 3 km west from Havana's downtown and 2.5 km north from Havana's business district. Kholy neighbourhood is the perfect place to stay if you want a central accommodation in a peaceful environment. The area is ideal as a unique alternative for people who seek rest and tranquillity, by staying away from the city’s noise and atmosphere, and at the same time, it is only minutes away from any spot of the city.
