For young Cubans, ballet offers a dream afforded elsewhere by sports — a chance to excel athletically and artistically, and to see the world. The school was founded a half-century ago by prima ballerina Alicia Alonso.

Casa Muralla is located at Muralla 406 between Aguacate and Villegas streets in Havana Vieja. Within a few short blocks are a myriad of restaurants, bars, shops, sights and amenities, including bank and ATM facilities. Havana's most popular and people friendly square - Plaza Vieja, is at the end of the street, complete with Havana's only micro brewery and a coffee roastery.
If you are coming from the airport a taxi is your best option. It takes about 40 minutes and costs 30-35 CUC. Muralla is a well-known street and directions will not be a problem.
Havana is one of the safest cities in the world for tourists. We are located in an active and vibrant part of the old town with a mix of predominantly residential units all in the area. Walking the streets, day or night, is a pleasant and non-threatening experience even for first time visitors.
