Back home with full hearts… and very tired legs after so many adventures around São Nicolau!

After a beautiful week away together, Kasa d’Vizin is officially open again for rooms, lunches and dinners 🥗

This trip meant a lot to us as a team. For some, it was the first time visiting another island (that isn't São Vicente). For some, the first time flying. And honestly, seeing everyone discover new places, try new experiences and simply enjoy being taken care of for once was something really special.

We often talk about creating meaningful experiences for our guests, but we believe the people working behind the scenes deserve those moments too. Hospitality is about people, and at Kasa d’Vizin we try to build something where the team grows alongside the business.

So to every guest who books a room, joins us for dinner, has lunch on the terrace, recommends us to friends or supports our little project in any way: thank you. Truly. Your support helps create opportunities, experiences and stability for a whole team of people we care deeply about.

Cabo Verde is a beautiful country, but life here can also come with realities and limitations that visitors do not always see. Being able to share moments like this together felt incredibly meaningful to all of us.

Now… back to work, back to welcoming guests, and back to sharing this little corner of Santo Antão with all of you! ✨

Today we concluded our third and final day of excursions with Ivanildo from Viva Tours.

Qnd what an incredible experience this has been for our whole team. We’re going back home as a tighter, happier team, filled with new experiences, beautiful memories, and so many moments we’ll never forget!

We couldn’t have been happier with how Ivanildo planned our stay in São Nicolau. Every day brought something new, and it became an unforgettable adventure for all of us.

Tomorrow is our final free day before heading back: no plans, no schedule, just time to relax and enjoy the island in the way each one of us chooses ☀️ Because while the collective is important, every individual matters too.

Thank you São Nicolau, and thank you Ivanildo for taking such good care of us 🙏

OUT OF OFFICE 🌴

For the first time since opening Kasa d’Vizin, our whole team is taking a week off together.

From the 7th until the 15th of May, we’ll be exploring another beautiful part of Cabo Verde and discovering what São Nicolau has to offer 🏝️

Running a small hotel is intense, and we felt it was important to take some time together to rest, recharge, laugh, eat well, and create new memories as a team.

If you see us somewhere in São Nicolau, come and say hi 👋😊

After many requests from our guests… and honestly, after years of trial, error, and a few questionable batches 😅… we finally did it.

We found a reliable way to make our own vegan coconut yoghurt using local ingredients 🥥

From now on, on most mornings, you’ll be able to enjoy freshly made coconut yoghurt at Kasa d’Vizin, creamy, natural, and made right here in our kitchen.

It’s been a long journey to get the texture and taste right, but we’re so happy to finally share this with you 🤍

This snap is from Garça, a quieter valley on the north side of the island. Small villages, terraced fields and sugarcane. It’s less visited than Paul, but it’s definitely just as breathtaking!
