Happy Saturday, how are the holidays going?

Have you got kids off school at the moment? Are you managing to keep them entertained? That’s one of the great things about our Cyprus villa; with a private pool the kids are entertained for hours, which means that parents- you get a bit of a break. So grab you towel pull up a sun lounger and pour a refreshing limonata while you soak up some Cyprus sun.

RISK FREE BOOKINGS:

We are now taking risk free bookings for 2021.

North Cyprus is still imposing a 1 week quarantine on arrival to the country and we don’t know when this will be lifted, so it’s understandable that nobody wants to book to go out there at the moment.

Therefore until the 1 week quarantine is no longer required we are taking risk free bookings. This means you can book with just a 5% deposit AND you will get a full refund if the quarantine period is still in place 1 week before your checkin date.

This offer is not available on our website, only if you contact us directly by Text, DM or email.

A further 20% deposit will be due as and when the quarantine is lifted, with the full balance due 28 days before checkin.

☀️Do you ever find yourself just driving along and then you catch sight of a breathtaking view and you immediately start looking for somewhere to pull over because you just HAVE to snap a pic.

Well that’s what happened here. Luckily the roads out by the villa and apartment are pretty quiet so there is plenty of opportunities to pull over.

I love how close you get to drive to the sea in North Cyprus. Talk about vitamin-sea therapy.

☀️Lala Mustafa Pasa Camii

Today I’m taking you back to the Lala Mustafa Mosque- from a different angle- one of the two biggest mosques in North Cyprus.

A trip to Famagusta is an absolute must for History lovers. Not only have you got the old walled city but now Varasha has been opened up to the public so you can take a walk around the unoccupied area that has been abandoned and closed since it’s 39000 occupants fled during the war in 1974.

☀️How time flies

This time three years ago we were preparing to travel out to Cyprus to ‘test out’ the villa before buying it.

We spent an amazing Christmas over there, with Christmas dinner in the rooftop restaurant of Lord’s Palace, followed by a stroll on the beach.

Santa somehow managed to get everybody’s presents to us 😅 and our tree was hilarious- real Christmas trees were a bit expensive so we opted for a small conifer from the local garden centre 😂🤣 (I’ll find a photo and put it in stories).

It was very different to the traditional Christmas we are used to in the UK but I would do it again anyday!

The great thing about the villa is that it now sleeps 8 so we can take more family out with us next time we go for Christmas. Why not book yourself a slightly different Christmas for 2021 in our villa or apartment. Between them they sleep 15 people and are only a 5 minute drive from each other 🙌

No trip to North Cyprus is complete for me if we don't take a day trip up the Karpaz peninsula. ⁠

Whether it's to go and fetch some Karpaz honey from the monastery market, to visit the wild donkeys, or to stop off at Livana beach and get some of their amazing kebabs and meze.

Cyprus here we come.

Well hopefully anyway, and only Ted, but it’s a start!

Flight booked ✔️
Bags packed ✔️
Covid test booked ✔️
Quarantine hotel booked ✔️

All that’s left is to get over there and enjoy the November sunshine.

We have been getting reports that the temperature is still hitting 29-30 degrees in the day 🙌

There’s a few jobs to be done including finally installing the new sofa beds in the apartment, so that we can be ready for next year, whatever it may bring.
