By symbolically putting out the lights between 20.30
and 21.30 on Saturday 30. 3. 2019, we are going to
support Earth Hour, an international happening
intended to promote climate conservation.
Individuals, companies and cities all around the
world who perceive climate change as one of the
most critical issues today will be switching off their
lights. Through this simple yet visible act of switching
off the lights, we will join in a common manifestation
of not being indifferent to the future of our planet.

Temporary suspension of tram operation on Vinohradska 🚃

Because of the necessity of the reconstruction and the repair of the tram track, starting 9. 3. 2019 and lasting until 12. 7. 2019 the tram operation on the Vinohradska will temporarily be suspended in both directions. (Stations - Italská, Vinohradská tržnice, Jiřího z Poděbrad, Radhošťská, Olšanské hřbitovy a Želivského (u Strojimportu))

Replacement transport service
* Replacement X11 bus transport service will be provided in daytime on the route Želivského – Flora – Jiřího z Poděbrad – Náměstí Míru and by X16 line on the Želivského – Flora route.
* Replacement X91 bus transport service will be provided in night-time on the Želivského – Flora route.

Dopravní podnik hl. m. Prahy (DPP) připravuje nutnou rekonstrukci tramvajové trati v ulici Vinohradská v celkové délce cca 2,6 km.
V rekonstruovaných úsecích se nachází celkem šest tramvajových zastávek – Italská, Vinohradská tržnice, Jiřího z Poděbrad, Radhošťská, Olšanské hřbitovy a Želivského (u Strojimportu).

Plánovaný průběh výstavby:
9. 3. 2019 – 12. 7. 2019 – úsek Škrétova – Sudoměřická

V denním provozu bude zavedena náhradní autobusová doprava X11 v trase Želivského – Flora – Jiřího z Poděbrad – Náměstí Míru a X16 v trase Želivského – Flora.
V nočním provozu bude zavedena náhradní autobusová doprava X91 v trase Želivského – Flora

⠀The area was indeed covered with vineyards starting in the 14th century when Czech king Charles IV had them planted there, right around the time when he had the New Town built.🏫
⠀The vineyards lasted for some four hundred years and were later replaced by rose gardens, orchards, and residential buildings.🌳🏘🌹🌷
⠀Vinohrady received the status of a city in 1879. 🏙 Královské Vinohrady was incorporated into Greater Prague as a district in 1922 and 50 years later its name was shortened to Vinohrady. 💫

The National Museum in Prague is finally open after 7 years of restauration works. It is just in 5-7 minutes walking distance from GH Prague Apartments and you can discover Czech treasure on Wenceslas square.

These will be open free of charge until 31 December 2018.

The oldest museum in Bohemia, was founded 200 years ago as the ‘Vlastenecké muzeum’ (‘The Patriotic Museum’) in 1818. Its foundation is associated with famous names such Count Kašpar Maria Šternberg, František Palacký, Jan Evangelista Purkyně, and Joachim Barrande.
