Association of Travel Industry Professionals Founded 18th October 1995 as the first SKÅL Club in the former communist countries in Central Europe.

At present, the Club has more than 60 members from all fields of tourism industry, all of them being top managers of the most important players in the local tourism market (hotels, airlines, travel agents, travel media)

On a rather muggy but very summery afternoon, during a Czech team football match, we chose to chat and network over good food from the grill and cold quality drinks on the terrace with a breathtaking view of Prague in the Sky lounge in NH Prague City hotel.
In the meantime, Paddington Tucker received a club flag from the club president as an expression of respect and appreciation for his work as an ambassador of the Prague SKÅL club around the world.

We thank GM Petr Nešpůrek for the great hospitality provided by his hotel.

We wish you all a wonderful summer and look forward to meeting you again in August!

Skål International Cape Town in Romania 🇿🇦🇷🇴

Skål International Cape Town President Johan Van Schalkwyk and fellow Cape Town member Preston Pietersen, joined by Skål International Prague member Paddington Tucker, were honoured to be hosted by Skål International Bucharest President George Sorin Nicolescu and fellow Bucharest member Madalina Nicolescu at the beautiful Caru’ cu Bere restaurant in Bucharest.

It was a fantastic afternoon of friendship, professional exchange, and shared ideas around travel between our regions, while enjoying authentic Romanian cuisine and hospitality.

An interesting insight from the discussion was the popularity of Cape Town cruises within the Romanian market, particularly itineraries connecting Cape Town with Barcelona and the Seychelles. While Romanian travellers are well informed about North and East African travel, there remains a clear opportunity to strengthen awareness and promotion of South Africa - and Cape Town in particular.

This made the meeting in Bucharest a valuable opportunity to share the stories of our home city, our members, and the wider Cape Town tourism offering.

Here’s to friendship. Here’s to new business.

We enjoyed the May lunch at the Ambassador - Zlata Husa hotel on Wenceslas Square. We thank Mrs. Eva Dvořáková and the Ambassador team for a delicious and beautifully presented menu.
Thanks to Paul Feagan we also welcomed our guest, Mrs. Martina Peštová, Managing Partner - Bar and Books - Prague, Warsaw.

We all look forward to further valuable conversations, exchange of views and networking among Skål colleagues in this inspiring environment.
This gathering once again highlighted the spirit of Skål – promoting friendship and business among tourism professionals while supporting sustainable tourism development.

With spring finally arriving, the April Skål Prague meeting took place in The Monkey Bar Prague located in the Falkensteiner Hotel Prague .
Traditionally, in the original and distinctive setting of the outdoor winter garden, where the overall optimistic atmosphere was significantly supported by the composition of the menu and and the exceptional service.

We thank Mr. Claudio Sturm and look forward to further valuable conversations, exchange of views and networking among Skål colleagues in this inspiring environment.

Today we met at the Easter-decorated NH Collection Prague Carlo IV hotel, where we were welcomed by the hotel's General Manager, Mr. Martin Žídek.

During the welcome drink, Mr. René Bos, CEO of Aegix, introduced the members in an engaging way to the current cybersecurity threats, especially in the hotel services segment, and how to effectively counter them.

The event concluded with a seasonal Easter lunch menu, enjoyed in great company and reflecting the hotel's outstanding culinary standards.
