Looking for fresh perspectives on old classics? Consider checking out ✨JOYCE & LIBERATURE✨ by Katarzyna Bazarnik

"Bazarnik provides new evidence [...] and suggests new readings of familiar features. [...] The strongest sections of the book look both closely and distantly at Finnegans Wake, sometimes focusing on single letters, at other times zooming out to consider the shape of the whole. [...] Bazarnik's consideration of how Joyce genders materiality shows this ambitious book at its best: tying the text and book back together after decades of unravelling. (Laura Heffernan, James Joyce Broadsheet)

I'm extremely pleased to have a short book forthcoming in Erratum's new critical series -- entitled HOMO CATASTROPHICUS -- & very grateful to editor Ansgar Allen for his support & enthusiasm in bringing it to press. The cover, designed by Ansgar, shows a detail from Eduardo Paolozzi's tiles at Tottenham Court Rd station (the book discusses Paolozzi, Gaudier-Brzeska, Metzger, Cybernetic Serendipity... along with China Miéville, Bella Li, Alan Moore, Iain Sinclair, Bernard Stiegler, Althusser &c). If y're in Prague on 25 October, there will be copies available & a small launch event at the PMF Prague Microfestival. For review copies/pre-orders, pls contact Erratum.

The spectre of Louis Armand's FEASTS OF UNRULE haunting the lovely valley of Divoka Sarka. Available via LULU, link in comments.

"Feasts of Unrule is a condensed treatise on the philosophy of right & on human rights in general, & on the genealogy of morals in particular. [...] Louis Armand’s latest book is a poetic outcry & a howl against the dogmas of corporate-state power."
Nina Živančević

"Feasts of Unrule provides compelling testimony that, within the framework of conventional language, literary discourse is always potentially subversive, insofar as it is able to break out of a subservient relation to power & become a spectre that haunts it."
Miroslav Petříček
