If you’re visiting Frankfurt, it’s worth looking beyond the usual spots. The is currently showing Monets Küste. Die Entdeckung von Étretat, on view until July 5, 2026. With around 170 works, including 24 by Claude Monet, the exhibition explores his fascination with the Norman coastline and its ever‑changing light.

Beyond the exhibition, the museum itself is worth a visit — with a collection of around 3,100 paintings ranging from the Middle Ages to contemporary art, as well as striking architecture, a beautiful garden and views towards the Frankfurt skyline.
