🥥 World Coconut Day. Obviously our most important holiday.

And this year, we actually have some coconut-worthy news.

Coconat is going Caribbean. Well… sort of. 🌴

We’re starting to explore a new international cooperation with 150 mètres d’altitude in Martinique, a residency founded by curator and artist Georges-Emmanuel Arnaud.

7,000+ km apart, our places have quite a lot in common: bringing people together to think, create, experiment and build things in places far away from the usual big-city bubbles.

Brandenburg 🤝 Martinique

We’re now dreaming up what could happen between the two: exchanges, residencies, entrepreneurship, art, research, rural innovation… and perhaps the occasional Caribbean breakout session. 🌊

Where exactly this will lead is still open. And we like it that way.

There is, however, one very serious question we need to answer:

If Coconat opens in the Caribbean, do we have to call it Kartoffel? 🥔🥥

Happy from the place that has been preparing for this holiday since 2017. 💚

Drei Jahre. Zwei Fahrräder. Unzählige Kilometer, Begegnungen und Geschichten.

Am 4. September nehmen uns zwei Reisende mit auf ihre dreijährige Fahrradreise durch Europa, Asien und Afrika – erzählt mit Geschichten, Fotos und Videos direkt von unterwegs.

Der Reisevortrag ist zweisprachig auf Deutsch & Englisch, also kommt vorbei, macht es euch gemütlich und reist für einen Abend mit uns um die Welt. ✨

The travel talk will be bilingual in German & English, so come by, get comfy and travel around the world with us for an evening. ✨

Solar eclipse at Coconat 🌞

Did we have eclipse glasses? No.

Did someone find a welding shield? Of course.

And that’s how guests and the Coconat team ended up standing together in the garden, passing it around and taking turns staring at the sky.

Very professional. Very scientific. Very Coconat. 💚

Sometimes you just have to stop working and look up.

There’s something about Coconat in September and October.

The summer rush slows down, the forest starts changing, the days are still long enough to spend outside, and suddenly it becomes very easy to sit down and focus.

🐰 One more juror for The Rabbit 2026 - and this one comes from within our own fluffle.

Les Vynogradov is a cultural producer, musician, writer, and game designer from Kyiv, Ukraine, currently based in Berlin 🌍. He is a co-founder of Heden Smugglers, an indie studio developing Hedenite, a hand-painted adventure game by award-winning illustrators. When he’s not working on Hedenite, Les runs cultural programs at Kyiv Contemporary Music Days, a Ukrainian concert and educational platform, and plays in bands, from krautrock to doom metal 🎸

Les was part of the Rabbit 2025 cohort - and now he’s joining the jury. We’re very happy to have him on board. 💚

🐰 Meet another member of the jury selecting the Rabbit 2026 cohort.

Arjuna “AJ” Sath is the Co-Founder of Games Ground Berlin 🎮, an international games festival connecting developers, publishers, creators, investors, and gaming communities from around the world. He is also Head of Developer Relations (DACH) at Xsolla, Co-Founder of Beat Em Hub, and serves as Vice Chair of the Berlin chapter of the IGDA (International Game Developers Association). Over the years, he has worked with hundreds of game developers, publishers, accelerators, industry associations, and events around the world 🌍. Passionate about indie games and community building, AJ focuses on creating opportunities for developers through international collaborations, showcases, matchmaking programs, and industry initiatives. He is particularly interested in helping studios refine their pitches, expand their networks, and connect with the partners, opportunities, and ecosystems that can support their growth.

We’re very happy to have him on board. 💚

Wir alle lieben „Schenk Raum Fläming“
Jetzt ist es an der Zeit, das zu zeigen!
Wir freuen uns, euch mitteilen zu können, dass Coconat eines unserer liebsten lokalen Projekte beherbergen darf! Die haben schon lange vor uns hier Gemeinschaft aufgebaut – dort haben wir sogar unser Geschirr her!
Wenn ihr schon mal hier wart, um etwas abzugeben oder mitzunehmen – wir laden euch herzlich ein, diesen Samstag ein paar Stunden mit uns zu verbringen, um ein paar Sachen umzuräumen. Wenn wir nur 10 Leute sind, muss niemand auf einmal viel tragen – wir bilden die schönste Umzugs-Kette.

If you have ever visited to give or take - we humbly invite you to join us for a couple of hours this Saturday to move some things - If we have just 10 people no one will have to carry much at a time - we will build the most beautiful moving train.
