Köln hat mehr Geschichten zu erzählen als nur die vom Dom. 👀🐟

Mitten in der Altstadt erinnert der Fischweiberbrunnen an die Frauen, die hier schon im Mittelalter mit Fisch handeln durften, was zu damaligen Zeiten eine absolute Ausnahme war – allerdings unter ziemlich unfairen Bedingungen.

Heute läuft man schnell an den vier Marktfrauen vorbei. Nach diesem Reel vielleicht nicht mehr. 😉

Right in the heart of the Old Town, the Fischweiberbrunnen ("Fishwives´ fountain") commemorates the women who were allowed to trade in fish here as far back as the Middle Ages – albeit under rather unfair conditions.
