Kölle Alaaf! Celebrating Teamwork at its best at Hilton Cologne 🎈🎉

What an unforgettable Carnival season at . On Weiberfastnacht and Carnival Saturday, we again welcomed more than 1,500 guests each day. Both events wäre vibrant, full of energy, music, and Cologne spirit.

None of this would have been possible without our incredible team. From bar and service to restaurant, kitchen and stewarding, housekeeping, engineering, cloakroom, token sales, and logistics - everyone contributed with passion, teamwork, and a lot of passion for hospitality. 🫶🏼

We’re incredibly proud of what we achieved together and are already counting the days to the next Carnival season kickoff on November 11th. 📆

What a successful weekend at CHANCE - Gießen’s career fair! 📚🏫

We had the pleasure of representing Hilton Frankfurt City Centre & Hilton Frankfurt Airport at Hesse’s largest career fair.

Meeting potential new team members, introducing Hilton and our culture and discussing possible career paths – it was a great opportunity to show what Hilton has to offer.
Especially for apprentices – we are very optimistic to receive many great applications from future apprentices!

From Apprentice to Senior Food & Drinks Supervisor – Celebrating Sara’s 5-Year Journey at Hilton Cologne! 🌟

This week, we were thrilled to celebrate Sara’s 5‑year journey with us. A journey filled with growth, passion, and countless moments that make Hilton such a special place to work.

Sara began her career at Hilton Cologne in 2021 as an apprentice and successfully completed her apprenticeship in early 2023. Since then, she has become a true heartbeat of our Food & Drinks team. With her warm personality, dedication, and care for both guests and colleagues, she creates memorable experiences every single day. She supports our apprentices, guides new team members with patience and positivity, and is always ready to lend a helping hand.

In 2024, Sara was recognized as Team Member of the First Quarter – a well‑deserved acknowledgement of her outstanding commitment and positive impact. In the same year, Sara was promoted to Food & Drinks Supervisor, and in December 2025, she reached her next milestone: Senior Food & Drinks Supervisor.

Thank you for bringing your passion, your kindness, and your smile to Team Hilton Cologne. We’re so proud of your journey and excited for everything that’s still ahead. Here’s to many more years together! 🥂

For 25 years, Carlos has been part of our bar family.
A man with his heart in the right place, a smile that welcomes everyone, and a passion you can feel in every drink he serves. 🍹☕️🍻

You can see how much he loves what he does, and we’re incredibly grateful for every moment, every laugh, and every memory shared behind the bar.
Carlos is the perfect example of a great and long career in the hospitality industry.

December at Hilton Cologne means two things: holiday excitement and appreciation for our incredible team with our Team Member Advent Calendar. The German custom of the Advent Calendar is a way to count down the days until Christmas by opening one door each day from December 1st to 24th.

Our annual Team Member Advent Calendar is one of our favorite traditions that brings joy every single day!

Each morning, a lucky team member is drawn and wins a surprise gift.🎁 From festive treats to practical goodies and even overnight stays at other Hilton hotels – the excitement is real!

This tradition is more than just fun – it’s one of many ways to express our heartfelt thanks for the passion, dedication, and hard work our team has shown throughout the year. Our team is what makes Hilton Cologne truly special, and we couldn’t be more proud or grateful for each and every one of our Team Members.

Explore the world with Hilton! 💙

Today we want to share the story of Nelson, who recently transferred from Hilton Frankfurt City Centre to Conrad Maldives! 💙

Nelson joined the Front Office Team at Hilton Garden Inn in Stuttgart in 2021.
Just 2 years later he transferred to Hilton Frankfurt City Centre as a Guest Service Supervisor and further improved his skills, his wonderful guest interactions and has been an integral member of the team. His recent transfer to the Maldives aligns with his career goals and provides an excellent opportunity for his continues skill improvement and growth within Hilton.

Bringing Holiday Joy to our Team Members and their Little Ones 🎄

Recently, we hosted a magical Christmas celebration for our team members with children here at . The afternoon was filled with festive treats like cookies, tea, and hot cocoa, creative fun while building gingerbread houses, and - of course - the highlight of the event: a visit from Santa Claus with a special gift for every child! 🎅

It was wonderful to see the kids making new friends while parents connected and shared the holiday spirit. This event was also a great opportunity for our colleagues on parental leave to stay engaged and feel connected to what’s happening at the hotel.

Moments like these remind us that hospitality is not just about guests, it’s about creating meaningful experiences for our team and their families too. 💙

As a team, we prepared special St. Nicholas gift bags to surprise both our Team Members and our valued guests.

It’s our way of spreading a little extra joy, gratitude, and festive warmth throughout the hotel. ✨

🌍 Expanding Horizons with Hilton! 🌍
For us at Hilton, an apprenticeship isn’t just about learning skills – it’s about creating an experience that helps you develop both in your career and as an individual.

That’s why we regularly organize Azubi Exchanges, giving our apprentices the chance to spend two weeks in another Hilton hotel across Germany or Austria. These exchanges allow them to gain new skills, experience different work environments, and build confidence for their future careers.

This year, Leonie, an apprentice at Hilton Cologne, traveled to Hilton Vienna Park, gaining new insights and deepening her hospitality skills.
 
We’re proud to share that, thanks to these international opportunities, the has been awarded the “Ausbildung International” seal by the IHK during a fantastic event yesterday. This recognition highlights our commitment to offering apprentices enriching experiences abroad during their training.

In a world where kindness shines brightest, nothing compares to the joy of children receiving packages filled with love. 🎁

During Travel with purpose week our Blue Energy team collected donations from our wonderful Hilton Frankfurt Team. After receiving so many wonderful gifts, the team came together to wrap the packages - each package carries more than gifts: it carries hope, smiles, and the reminder that someone cares.

When we give, we don’t just share things. We share joy, compassion, and the belief that together, we can make the world a brighter place.

Thank you to our wonderful team for all the donations and our partner Stiftung Kinderzukunft for distributing the packages. ❤️
