If you’re staying with us at SEEZEIT Residence in Hagnau, one experience you simply can’t miss is a visit to Mainau Island – also known as the Flower Island in Lake Constance. We recently visited ourselves, and it truly felt like stepping into a dream 💛
The tulips were absolutely stunning 🌷 – easily one of our favorite moments!

✨ What makes Mainau so special?
This botanical paradise offers something beautiful 365 days a year. From millions of spring flowers like tulips and daffodils to roses in summer and colorful dahlias in autumn, the island is constantly changing with the seasons. During winter, the island transforms into a glowing wonderland with the famous “Christmas Garden” 🎄✨
You can walk through illuminated paths filled with thousands of sparkling light installations and artistic displays, creating a truly magical evening experience.

Did you know? The beautiful baroque castle on the island, Mainau Palace, is actually owned by the Swedish royal family. This gives the island a unique Scandinavian connection—something you can even feel in details like Swedish traditions and cuisine offered on-site.

You can take a boat across Lake Constance, with several daily departures from nearby harbors. The journey can take as little as 15–25 minutes, depending on where you start

This historic wine cooperative, founded in 1881, brings together local winemakers who are passionate about quality and tradition. Here, you can taste a variety of regional wines, learn more about the winemaking process, and simply enjoy a relaxing moment surrounded by vineyards and lake views.

We at Seezite Residens recently visited, and it was a fun and enjoyable experience with many great wines to taste.

Der Regen ist vorbei! Schön dass die Sonne uns wieder verwöhnt!

Auch wenn es derzeit nicht den Anschein hat. Der Bodensee hat seine wirklich tollen Herbst- und Winterzeiten.
