MEET THE TEAM

Meet Alexandra, our brilliant Cluster Purchasing Manager. With 30 years in hospitality, Alexandra has experienced more hotel drama than an entire season of "Hotel Babylon." Her journey began in the charming town of Bad Pyrmont, where she trained in a small family hotel. There, she mastered everything from making perfect beds to dodging guest tantrums—skills that would serve her well in the bustling world of big-name hotels.

Alexandra’s career is like a whirlwind tour of Germany’s finest spots: she’s conquered Hamburg’s hustle, Bayern’s charm, Hessen’s heart, and Berlin’s buzz. Along the way, she’s checked into some of the top hotels: Radisson Blu, Steigenberger, Premier Inn, Intercontinental, and Ramada. If there’s a high-profile hotel in Germany, Alexandra’s probably worked there. Her experience isn’t confined to one department. Alexandra’s played the role of Receptionist, Reservation Manager, Concierge, Guest Relations Expert, and even Hotel Manager. She’s basically done everything in a hotel except be the guest. Alexandra can juggle check-ins, manage reservations, solve guest problems, and run a hotel—all before her first cup of Tea …sorry coffee.

Speaking of tea, Alexandra has a deep love for all things UK. She’s an Anglophile through and through, probably able to recite the Queen’s Christmas speech by heart. And let’s not forget her small Rover Mini Cooper, a car as packed with personality as its owner. She zips around town in her Mini, handling purchasing deals with the precision and speed of a Formula 1 driver.

Alexandra’s purchasing prowess is legendary. Need a thousand monogrammed towels by tomorrow? No problem. Want artisanal chocolates for a VIP event? Consider it done. She’s like a procurement ninja, slicing through red tape and vendor negotiations with ease.
So here’s to Alexandra, welcome to the team.

Ladies and gentlemen, gather 'round, for I have the distinct pleasure of introducing Sebastian, the Hotel Manager of Novotel Hamburg Hafencity! Hotellerie isn't just a job for Sebastian – it's a passion, a calling that was practically written in the stars. Born and raised in his family's charming guesthouse in Lüneburg, he had hospitality woven into his very being from day one.

For nine incredible years, Sebastian has been a shining star at Accor, but that's not where his illustrious career began. Oh no, he has also graced the halls of NH and Intercontinental with his expertise and charm. When he's not busy ensuring your stay is nothing short of perfection, you might find him out on the water, paddleboarding his way to tranquility.

But there's more to Sebastian than just his hotel prowess and love for water sports. This man has a deep appreciation for the arts, frequently attending concerts and musicals. And don't be surprised if you see him hit the dance floor – he proudly holds the German Dance Badge in Bronze. When the music starts, especially a Roland Kaiser tune, Sebastian is the first to twirl and groove, bringing his passion for dance to life.

Meet Oliver, our extraordinary Boss and Cluster General Manager, who’s the epitome of hospitality with a heart as big as his hotel. With many years in the hospitality industry, Oliver has perfected the art of making guests feel at home while running a tight ship. If hosting were an Olympic sport, Oliver would have a shelf full of gold medals.

Oliver isn’t just a hospitality guru; he’s also an avid marathon runner. While most of us struggle to find the energy to jog to the coffee machine, Oliver’s out there conquering marathons. Running is his way of staying balanced, and it’s rumoured he’s even negotiated hotel contracts mid-run. Imagine trying to keep up with him during a morning jog—both in speed and conversation!

When he’s not managing the hotel or pounding the pavement, Oliver loves to read. Ask him anything, and he’ll give you an answer so detailed and accurate you’ll swear he’s a walking lexicon. Meet Isabelle, our Ass. Talent and Culture Manager. With 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Isabelle has worked in virtually every corner of the field. She one traded her uniform for a pair of deck shoes and set sail on a grand adventure across the sea. Picture this: Isabelle at the helm of a sailing boat, navigating the unpredictable waves with the same calm and confidence she brings to managing our teams.

Isabelle has a knack for embracing diversity, which is why she loves the mix of characters at our workplace. She's a maestro at creating harmony among the team.

When she’s not fostering our company’s culture, you’ll find her cheering on her Favorite football team FC. St. Pauli with the enthusiasm of a cheerleader who just drank five espressos. Meet Sarina, our Assistant Cluster Director of Sales, who’s not just a master of closing deals but also a woman of many talents and passions. With a glittering career spanning several top-tier hospitality giants—Accor, Radisson Blu, The Ritz London, One & Only Maldives, and Le Meridien Hamburg—Sarina has seen more luxury suites than James Bond.

But wait, there’s more to Sarina than her stellar resume. For starters, she’s a bona fide flora fanatic with 35 plants in her flat. Her apartment is a verdant wonderland, resembling a small botanical garden. If you’re ever in need of a quick escape to nature, just pop by Sarina’s place—just be prepared for her to introduce you to each plant by name.

When she’s not nurturing her leafy friends, Sarina loves to hit the dance floor. Her love for dancing is matched only by her passion for travel. Sarina is a global explorer, collecting experiences and souvenirs from every corner of the Earth. She’s experienced more countries and cultures than an entire season of a travel show. Whether it’s sipping tea in London, basking in the Maldivian sun, or navigating the bustling streets of Hamburg, Sarina’s zest for life knows no bounds.
