🏰 Practical Disneyland Paris tips
You can save a lot of time at some attractions by using the Single Rider Line. Instead of waiting in the regular queue, you will be assigned to any available seats if the rows are not completely full. Perfect if you don't necessarily need to sit together.

👉 Note: The Single Rider Line is only available at selected attractions, including Ratatouille, Crush's Coaster, Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain and Indiana Jones – The Temple of Peril. Please note that you will be seated separately and cannot choose who you sit next to. It is therefore not suitable for families with small children. And even if you really want to ride together, this queue is not the right choice.
Not every attraction with a Single Rider Line saves you the same amount of time. Ratatouille is particularly worthwhile: as each car has six seats, but many families only have four people, there is often space for single riders – you can often go straight through. At Crush's Coaster, on the other hand, the advantage is usually minimal, as each turtle shell has four seats and the single rider seats are rarely used.

💡 Our tip: Make targeted use of the Single Rider Line, especially at Ratatouille. This will save you valuable time. Ideal if you are travelling in a group and don't mind experiencing the ride separately from each other.

🚄 Important information about the RER

📅 From August 8–23, there will be a closure on the Paris–Disneyland Paris line between Vincennes and Noisy-le-Grand.

✅ Travel between Val d’Europe and Disneyland Paris is not a problem. So don’t worry if you’re traveling in this area.

❌ But traveling to or from Paris will be difficult.
You’ll be affected if
🚄 You’re traveling to Disneyland Paris by train and arriving in Paris
✈️ You want to go from Orly Airport to Disneyland
🇫🇷 You’d like to take a day trip to Paris.

🚌 There is a replacement bus service. It takes longer and is, of course, a bit of a hassle.
So be sure to allow extra time.

🚫 There are some things I don't do at all or only do very reluctantly at Disneyland Paris:
🏃‍♀️ Rushing from attraction to attraction – I feel like you lose too much of the atmosphere that way. Disney Parks have so much more to offer than roller coasters and carousels, and experiencing that is much more important to me than one adrenaline rush after another
⏰ Taking advantage of Extra Magic Time – that's not for me. I prefer to start the day relaxed instead of standing in front of the entrance at 8 a.m. with my feet tapping impatiently. I also find the selection very limited, so I prefer to sleep in
🥐 Having breakfast at the hotel – I rarely do this because, for me, the price and quality at Disneyland Paris don't match up at all. Besides, it's usually much too loud and hectic for me there

🤢 Similar to good fast food, I found it difficult to choose here – but this time because I could have named more than three, as the fast food at Disneyland Paris is usually anything but a treat for the taste buds.

🌭 Casey's Corner – formerly a must-visit on every trip to Disneyland Paris, today it's only a last resort, because in my opinion the hot dogs are hardly edible anymore. Very poor quality for far too much money.
🍔 Cafe Hyperion – OK, the burgers here are no better or worse than in the other fast food burger joints at Disneyland Paris, but they're rarely good. But here, the likelihood of getting a cold burger and half-frozen chips is even greater than elsewhere. In my experience, this has been the case for years, almost 100% of the time. If at all possible, you should avoid this place.
🍟 Hollywood Gardens Restaurant – this is where you celebrate a glamorous première party... and then they serve lukewarm burgers and soggy chips? Seriously? How does that fit in with the theme? The food team at Disneyland Paris could have been a lot more creative!

That's my selection of the worst fast food restaurants. Now I'd love to know which ones you think are the worst.

🎨 Italian architect Aldo Rossi, winner of the Pritzker Prize and one of the most influential theorists of his time, introduced the concept of a Hotel Louisiane for Euro Disney. It was planned for the ‘Lot 3’ construction site on Lake Disney, right in the middle of the central hotel area.

🏛️ Rossi was known for his clear, almost archaic design language, which was inspired by European cityscapes and monuments. His ‘Louisiane’ hotel translated this approach into a strictly geometric, monumental concept – a stark contrast to the narrative ideas of his colleagues.

🇺🇸 The reference to America, which was required for all designs, lay in the choice of the Louisiana theme: a region that stands for immigration, cultural diversity and colonial history. However, Rossi did not interpret this in a playful or folkloric way, but in an abstract, almost timeless architecture.

📚 There is a famous anecdote involving Disney boss Michael Eisner: when Eisner asked him if he thought he was Bernini, Rossi is said to have replied that he might not be Bernini, but Eisner was certainly not the King of France. This is a reference to Bernini's statement during the construction of the Louvre. It is a sentence that perfectly captures the tension between avant-garde architecture and Disney's pragmatic expectations.
This sentence is documented in a fax from Rossi announcing his withdrawal from the Euro Disney project, in which he also reports on the bad atmosphere during the final discussions.

👨‍🎨 Rossi's hotel was never realised. Instead, hotels such as the Sequoia Lodge and the Newport Bay Club were built on Lake Disney, telling clearer stories. Rossi's design remains a fascinating example of how willing Disney was in the 1980s to challenge world-class architects – even if, in the end, more accessible solutions were chosen.
