International School Neustadt A full-day school, fostering each child's talents and passions from Cambridge Primary to A Level

With around 80 students from over 16 nations, ISN offers a caring family atmosphere both for expatriates and local families. Expatriate families enjoy the social network at ISN which eases integration into a new location, while local German parents benefit from the innovative educational program and English language instruction. ISN offers the Cambridge Primary and IGCSE (International General Cer

tificate of Secondary Education) programs, and is an accredited examination center for Cambridge International Examinations, offering the full range of English examinations. ISN's campuses include a number of adjacent vineyard villas and the school offers a full day program from 8am until 5pm. While the main language of instruction is English, German classes are also taught daily to all students from beginner to native-speaker level. Before- and after-school adult supervision is available each day to students from kindergarten up to grade 5. ISN also provides a wide range of after-school activities including music, drama, art and sports. The school is owned and managed by the famous Swiss education provider, SBW Haus des Lernens, which has over 40 years of experience in the field of private education, currently managing more than 10 schools throughout Switzerland and Germany. Some of the innovative approaches developed by SBW and implemented at ISN include personalized student coaching, autonomous learning and the development of learning skills.

Lernen findet nicht nur im Klassenzimmer statt. Manchmal sind gerade die Momente dazwischen besonders wertvoll: spielen, sich bewegen, lachen, plaudern und einfach Zeit miteinander verbringen.

An der ISN geht es nicht nur ums Lernen. Es geht auch darum, zu wachsen, sich als Teil einer starken Gemeinschaft zu fühlen, Freundschaften zu schließen, Spaß zu haben und gut aufgehoben und wertgeschätzt zu sein.

Cambridge Results 2026 – Celebrating our Learning Partners! 🌍

The results of the Spring session of Cambridge IGCSE, AS & A Level examinations are in – and we are delighted to celebrate the achievements of our Learning Partners! 🎉

Our IGCSE Learning Partners achieved strong results across a broad range of subjects, including English, German, Mathematics, History, Biology and Physics.

We are also delighted to celebrate some outstanding AS Level results. Emily Meyerson achieved three Grade As in Biology, Economics and English Language – an excellent achievement! 🌟

At A Level, Maximilian Jäger achieved an outstanding A* in Psychology, A in German Language & Literature and B in Economics. Congratulations on this fantastic result! 🏆

What makes us especially proud is the breadth of achievement across our Cambridge programme. Our Learning Partners are developing their strengths in different academic areas while preparing for their next steps through internationally recognised Cambridge qualifications – in Germany and around the world. 🌍

Die Ergebnisse der Cambridge-Prüfungen IGCSE, AS und A-Level lieg aus dem Frühjahr liegen vor – und wir freuen uns sehr, die Erfolge unserer Lernpartner*innen zu feiern! 🎉

Unsere IGCSE-Lernpartner*innen erzielten in einer Reihe von Fächern hervorragende Ergebnisse, darunter Englisch, Deutsch, Mathematik, Geschichte, Biologie und Physik.

Wir freuen uns außerdem sehr, einige herausragende AS-Level-Ergebnisse feiern zu können. Emily Meyerson erzielte drei Mal die Note A in Biologie, Wirtschaft und Englisch – eine hervorragende Leistung! 🌟

As part of their Global Perspectives Unit on Improving Communication, our Year 4 and 5 Learning Partners took their learning outside the classroom yesterday! 🌍

They headed to the Market Square to observe how people communicate in everyday life. Sitting, watching and sketching, they captured different forms of communication — visual, written, verbal and non-verbal.

A great reminder that communication is everywhere — and that there is so much we can learn just by paying attention. 💡✨

Im Rahmen ihres Faches Global Perspective Unit zum Thema "Wie können wir besser kommunizieren?" haben unsere Lernpartner*innen aus Year 4 und 5 gestern das Klassenzimmer verlassen und ihr Lernen direkt ins echte Leben getragen! 🌍

Auf dem Marktplatz beobachteten sie, wie Menschen miteinander kommunizieren. Sie schauten genau hin, skizzierten ihre Beobachtungen und entdeckten dabei ganz unterschiedliche Formen der Kommunikation – visuell, schriftlich, verbal und nonverbal.

Eine schöne Erinnerung daran, dass Kommunikation überall stattfindet – und dass man durch genaues Beobachten unglaublich viel lernen kann. 💡✨

⛺✨ School Sleepover ✨⛺

Kurz vor den Ferien wurde unsere Schule zu einem Abenteuerort:
Unsere Lernpartner:innen aus Year 3–6 verbrachten gemeinsam eine Nacht in der Schule.

Beim Zelte aufbauen, Teamspielen, kreativen Aktivitäten und einem gemeinsamen Abendprogramm stand vor allem eines im Mittelpunkt: Freundschaft, Teamwork und Gemeinschaft. 💛

In kleinen Gruppen gestalteten die Lernpartner:innen eigene Team-Logos, lösten gemeinsam Aufgaben und stärkten dabei ihre Kommunikations- und Zusammenarbeitsfähigkeiten.

Das Übernachten in Zelten machte das Erlebnis besonders – und förderte Selbstständigkeit, Vertrauen und neue Verbindungen über die Jahrgänge hinweg.

Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis, das unsere Community weiter gestärkt hat. ✨

Just before the holidays, our school turned into a place of little adventures:
Our Year 3–6 learning partners spent a night together at school.

From setting up tents to creative team activities and games, the focus was on friendship, teamwork and connection. 💛

Working in small groups, they designed their own team logos, solved challenges together and strengthened their communication and collaboration skills.

Sleeping in tents made the experience even more special, fostering independence, resilience and meaningful connections across year levels.

Bewegung, Teamgeist und jede Menge Energie!

Im Laufe des Schuljahres haben unsere Lernpartner:innen im Sportunterricht viel über faire Wettbewerbe, Teamwork und persönliche Herausforderungen gelernt.
Beim Sports Day konnten sie diese Fähigkeiten nun aktiv anwenden.

An Stationen wie Long Jump, Obstacle Course und Water Relay wurde gesprungen, gelaufen und gemeinsam angefeuert. 💪💧

Unterstützt durch Year 9 entstand ein sportlicher Tag voller Einsatz, Zusammenhalt und gemeinsamer Erlebnisse. 💛

Throughout the year, our learning partners have been developing skills such as healthy competition, teamwork and personal challenge in PE lessons.
Sports Day gave them the opportunity to put these skills into practice.

From long jump to obstacle course and water relay, they stayed active, challenged themselves and supported one another. 💪💧

At ISN, we value and encourage the passions and talents of our learning partners. But this mindset does not stop in the classroom. It extends to our team as well.

Our school secretary, Florian, is passionate about chess and came up with the idea of launching the very first ISN Chess League. It turned out to be a great success!

Over several weeks, 20 participants competed against one another, spent their breaks playing matches, and showed tremendous enthusiasm, determination and enjoyment throughout the tournament.

The competition produced many exciting and surprising results and concluded with a clear winner, who won the final with three victories out of three games. 🏆

A heartfelt thank you to our sponsor, Diesec, for supporting this special event, and to all the helpers who contributed their time and energy to make the first ISN Chess League run so smoothly.

We are already looking forward to the next Chess League! ♟️

Das Turnier sorgte für viele spannende und überraschende Ergebnisse und endete mit einem souveränen Sieger, der das Finale mit drei Siegen aus drei Spielen für sich entschied. 🏆
