– Bayerischer Löwe - Sieg am Heimatrevier!

Andi Lachenschmid gewinnt gemeinsam mit Alexa Hausotter und Pia Dörr den Bayerischen Löwen an seinem Heimatclub, dem Münchner Yacht-Club. Herzlichen Glückwunsch! 🏆
Mit leichter Crew und starkem, böigem Wind am Samstag ein sehr starkes Ergebnis!
Umso schöner: Auch die Plätze 3 und 4 sind mit unseren Segeln gesegelt. Glückwunsch an alle Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer - die Bedingungen waren alles andere als einfach.

Der Münchner Yacht-Club ist ein langjähriger Partner von uns, ebenso wie Andi, der mit seiner Crew in verschiedenen Klassen sehr erfolgreich unsere Segel fährt.

Ein großes Dankeschön an Veranstalter und Helfer für eine rundum gelungene Veranstaltung!

— Andi Lachenschmid wins the H-Boot Bottle 2026 🏆

Huge congratulations to Andi Lachenschmid (MYC, GER 1455) and his crew Alexa Hausotter & Christian Loy for taking the win at the H-Boot Bottle 2026 at ASC Ammersee last weekend.

A strong field of 20 boats lined up in Utting, and Andi’s team kept their nose in front to bring home the top spot.

It never gets old to see our sails at the front of an H-Boot fleet; the class has been part of our DNA for decades, and results like this making us aleay spcial happy. 

Well sailed, Andi & team - congrats also to Michael Gebhard and Florian Wider on the podium, and to everyone who made the trip to the Ammersee 👏

On to the next one. ⛵️

— Season kick-off with the Tempest class ⛵️

A perfect way to start the 2026 season: together with the Tempest class we hosted a small training camp with 8 boats at Seebrucker Regattaverein on the Chiemsee. Light but gusty conditions made it a proper workout — we focused on boat handling, ran a few short races and put serious time into sail trim.

The occasion behind the training was a special one: the christening of ’s new Tempest 🍾 Alongside Markus we also kept pushing forward on the development and testing of the new sails. That’s exactly the kind of collaboration that makes our sails faster, year after year.

A huge thank you to Markus for the wonderful BBQ evening, and to .dieter & team for taking such great care of all of us off the water 🙌

A fantastic season opener for the class - thanks to everyone for the great teamwork and the good vibes on the dock. We wish you all a successful and fun regatta season ahead!

— Blue Haze wins the Grand Prix d’Italia Dragon Cup 2026 🏆

Huge congratulations to Team Blue Haze (GBR327) on winning the opening Grand Prix of the international Dragon Cup circuit in Sanremo — leading a fleet of 49 boats from 15 nations, stacked with World and Olympic champions.
The Grade 1 event at is one of only four Dragon Grand Prix worldwide and the first big benchmark of the season on the road to the Worlds in Hong Kong this November. Winning here is no coincidence — it’s the result of a winter of serious work.
As the team put it themselves: long training blocks in Vilamoura and Cascais, the tiniest details dialled in, so that on race day the focus could be 100% on the racing. Hats off for that mindset.

Seeing so many of our sails at the Top of this fleet makes us incredibly proud. That’s exactly why we do what we do: designing, cutting and sewing every sail in-house and being on the water with our customers to keep pushing the product forward.

Congratulations again to Blue Haze — on to the next one. ⛵️🔥

– A new mainsail for a classic One Tonner in the Mediterranean.

A new mainsail is currently taking shape in our loft for a classic racing One Tonner sailing in the Mediterranean.

Back in September we visited the boat during a regatta, measured everything on site and adjusted the sail design individually to the boat and its rig setup.

When it comes to racing, sails must be able to handle a wide range of conditions.
This mainsail is designed primarily for stronger winds, which is why it features:

• two reef rows
• heavier cloth for durability
• batten systems designed to stay secure even when the sail is flogging

In One Tonner racing, sail changes are essential. Genoas, jibs and spinnakers are constantly adjusted to the conditions. Changing the mainsail during a race, however, is rarely practical.

That’s why we focused strongly on a design where the sail profile continues to work efficiently in the first and second reef, allowing the boat to stay competitive even when the breeze builds.

Performance, reliability and flexibility – all in one sail.

No season yet, but still busy times in the workshop! Winter series of several one-design classes, custom-made cruising and racing sails, and lots of development keep us and the workshop fully on track. And getting some sun like this while working? That already gives us the first taste of summer and the full-on sailing season ahead. ⛵️
