At Villa Rue, material choices shaped the architecture from the very beginning. Developed with PAX architects, the private residence was conceived with a clear focus on restraint, quality and responsible materials. Søuld Acoustic Boards FR were selected early in the process as a natural fit — combining acoustic performance with a tactile, biobased material expression.
Cladding the ceiling throughout the main spaces, the eelgrass panels become an integrated architectural surface rather than an added acoustic treatment. Their texture and warm tones soften the restrained interior while supporting a calm, controlled soundscape.
A home where material responsibility, acoustic comfort and architectural clarity are considered as one.
